i used to think going outside was... kind of lame. sometimes ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ค๐ฉ even haha
i almost backed out of this trip. it took a surprising amount of convincing just to drag my tired self out of bed. and somewhere in the middle of the hike, i was probably regretting everything and thinking,
but now iโm looking back at these photos, and the different faces, i realized that life has so much to offer outside my bedroom door. maybe thatโs why i always tell people to smile biiig even if they have to force it for the photo. because years from now, youโll probably forget exactly what you were feeling that day (esp the ugly ones) but youโll remember that you were there. that you laughed, and looked up, and let yourself be surprised by joy.
so hereโs another personal check in for you, my dear friends: this might sound ironic coming from an extreme introvert, but if youโre looking for a reason to keep going, just go outside! take some fresh air, look at something green, and stare at the sky for a while (extra points if there are chonky clouds)
thereโs something about creation that reminds me life is still held together, even when mine feels a little undone. the trees donโt rush. the sky doesnโt strive. and somehow, they still tell the story of a faithful God.
then get on again with life ๐
do it even if you have to drag yourself.
sometimes hope doesnโt arrive like fireworks. sometimes it just feels like fresh air filling tired lungs. and somehow, thatโs enough for today.
ty for reading my unsolicited rant.
hereโs to chasing big joys in little things!
โthis song sounds familiar for some reason hmm i love it
