The eyes are the window to the soul.
Photography offers a glimpse of what lies within.
Look deep into your heart and tell me, what do you see?

It’s International Day of Happiness, and this year’s theme is Caring and Sharing.

To celebrate, we’re encouraged to share something we’ve recently found helpful or inspiring. I’d love to pass along these words from the Day of Happiness website:

“What goes around comes around – and with kindness, it really does. Research shows that being kind to others increases our own levels of happiness as well as theirs. What’s more, it has a ripple effect—kindness is contagious, making our communities better places to be.

Recent research into brain functioning confirms that we are hard-wired for love and compassion. It’s not just about individual success—our communities and society thrive when people look out for each other.”

Those who know me understand how much I believe in the power of community. True connections are built on kindness, and when we lead with it, the universe pays it forward—if not to us, then to someone else. That’s how we create a more beautiful world.

So keep on caring and sharing—not just today and not just with others. Remember, happiness and kindness come from within, so be sure to share that care with yourself too!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Como La Flor ~ Carias Collections
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Today is International Margarita Day, and while many associate this day—and the name—with the drink, did you know that Margarita actually means Daisy?

The name Margarita comes from the Latin Margarita, which originally meant “pearl” and was derived from the Greek margaritēs (μαργαρίτης). Over time, the name became linked to the daisy flower, likely because of its simple beauty and how its white petals resemble the purity of a pearl.

The Symbolism of the Daisy

Daisies are often associated with innocence, purity, and new beginnings. In many cultures, they also symbolize love, loyalty, and resilience, making Margarita a name full of rich and positive meaning.

So, while today is a celebration of the drink, it’s also a great moment to appreciate the deeper meaning of the name itself—and the culture from which it comes.

Whispers of Freedom
~ Carias Collections

Everyone carries a dream—some bold and loud, others quiet and unspoken. For some, freedom means building an empire; for others, it’s finding peace in solitude. Some dream of belonging, while others seek escape.

Whatever your dream, let it be yours. Do not let the world define it for you. Do not let doubt, fear, or the voices of others silence what you know in your heart to be true.

Freedom isn’t always a roar—it can be a whisper, a quiet rebellion, a step forward when the world tells you to stand still.

Release your dream into the world. Move toward it in your own way, in your own time. Because the most powerful freedom is the one you give yourself.

Today is Blue Monday
While depression is not confined to a single day, Blue Monday serves as a reminder to prioritize self-care and mental health—not just today, but every day. Here are some ways to nurture yourself and make the day a little brighter:

Acknowledge Your Feelings
• Reflect on how you’re feeling without judgment. It’s okay to have low-energy or tough days. Acknowledging your emotions can help you find ways to cope.

Be Kind to Yourself
• Avoid self-criticism. Remind yourself that feeling down doesn’t define you or your entire day.
• Set realistic goals by breaking tasks into smaller steps to reduce overwhelm.

Practice Self-Care
• Do something that brings you comfort—whether it’s a warm bath, journaling, painting, or reading a favorite book.

Plan for Something Positive
• Give yourself something to look forward to, like trying a new recipe, planning an outing, or watching a favorite show.

Connect with Others
• Reach out to a friend or loved one to chat or spend time together. Connection can ease feelings of isolation.

Help Others
• Acts of kindness, such as volunteering, can provide a sense of purpose and uplift your mood.

Gratitude Journaling
• Write down three things you’re grateful for today. Gratitude can shift your perspective and foster positivity.

Move Your Body
• Physical activity, even a short walk outside, can boost your mood by releasing endorphins and clearing your mind.

Remember, you’re not alone in your struggles. Small, intentional steps can make a big difference. Let’s take care of ourselves and each other. 💙
