Candice Daum Photography's main goal is to capture the spirit of the animals we love, whether it be running at Mach speed to catch an airborne frisbee, bringing death to a new species of feather on a stick, or simply basking in the glorious warmth of a summer day. The photography experience should be just as much fun as receiving the final art piece and hanging it on your

wall. It is a big step to ask a photographer to come and capture life with your pet, but it is an investment you will never forget. Candid moments are my favourite as they produce the most genuine expressions. Just as a rope can not be pushed without getting bent out of shape, our fur babies are no different. We can always reschedule a shoot if need be. My promise to you is to never, ever, EVER push an animal to do something they don't want to do. Keeping it fun is my top priority. Photography is so much more than just a snapshot. It holds within it an experience, a time & place that has marked its existence in a special place in our hearts.

🐾 This Sunday — Working Certificate Test! 📸🐕

Just a quick reminder that I’ll be at the CKC Working Certificate Tests hosted by the Golden Retriever Club of Manitoba this Sunday, June 14th, at the Winnipeg Field Trial Club Grounds in Anola, MB.

This will be my first time photographing this type of event, and I’m looking forward to capturing the quiet intensity, trust, and partnership that make these working dogs so impressive to watch.

📸 Orders are welcome before or after the event

Just a quick reminder that I’ll be at Morrison Sports Park in Oakville, MB on June 13th, photographing both the MGA Sprinter trial in the morning, and the MGA Chase Ability trial in the afternoon.

Whether your dog is racing down the Sprinter course or chasing the lure in Chase Ability, I’ll be there capturing all the speed, focus, determination, and those unforgettable moments along the way.

I’ll be heading to Brandon, MB on June 20th to photograph the COKC Agility Trial!

From tight turns and flying contacts to those “how did they save that?” moments, I’ll be there capturing all the fast, funny, focused, and flying moments that make agility so much fun to watch.

📸 RCDD Cross Over Crown, June 6th - RAW IMAGE Slideshows are ready for viewing!

Relive all the gravity-defying maneuvers, ground skimmers, and hilarious expressions from this past weekend’s UpDog Trial at Bord-Aire Community Club in Winnipeg, MB.

I’ve included some sneak peek images of dogs who already have packages ordered for them THANK YOU so much!!

There are four RAW Image Slideshows available, one for each game played, followed by the puppy practice (if played).:

1️⃣ 7-UP
2️⃣ FUNKEY
3️⃣ FRIZGILITY
4️⃣ 4 WAY PLAY

The slideshows are organized in order of appearance. You can pause, rewind, skip ahead, or adjust the playback speed to find your dog. Every image includes a file number in the bottom left corner to help with selecting your favourites.

🐾 If you ordered a TOP DOG package, you’ll see a dedicated slideshow of your dog(s) in a separate tab. These customized slideshows make the selection process easier and it’s a fun little keepsake to relive the day’s events.

📺 For the best viewing experience, try casting the slideshow to your Smart TV or watching on a larger screen. It’s much easier to spot details, expressions, and file numbers when your dog is flying across a 50” TV screen instead of a phone! (videos are saved in 1080p)

Not all dogs will have the same number of images. That’s simply the luck of the draw based on game length, obstructions, focus, and where the action happened during each round.

Use the ODER FORM to place your order (link in comments). This link is always available on my website where more info can be found (upcoming events, past event photos, FAQ’s, booking, etc.)

On the Order Form, choose how you'd like your images selected:

• CUSTOM: Use the slideshows to choose your images and send me the file numbers.

• CLASSIC: I’ll select your dog’s strongest images for you. You’re still welcome to watch the slideshows, and if you spot an image you absolutely must have included, just let me know before I finalize your package.

Didn’t order a TOP DOG package but want a dedicated slideshow? No problem! They’re available as a stand-alone option on the order form for $50.

⚠️ Please note: The slideshows are RAW preview images straight from the field. Final purchased images receive full professional editing, including cropping, colour correction, and all the finishing touches that transform them into finished artwork.

🐾 Working Certificate Test — field work in action 📸🐕

I’ll be photographing the CKC Working Certificate Tests hosted by the Golden Retriever Club of Manitoba at the Winnipeg Field Trial Club Grounds in Anola, MB on June 14th!

This will be my first time photographing this type of event, and I’m excited to capture the focus, partnership, and precision these dogs bring to their work.

With the Golden Retriever Club of Canada National Specialty coming to Manitoba this August, this event is a great opportunity for me to get familiar with the sport ahead of the major event, which I’m honoured to have been selected to photograph.

💙 Wrapping up an amazing 2025 season 💙

As I wrap up another full season, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me to capture it. From flying paws and blink-and-you-miss-it action to intense focus and teamwork — it’s been an honour.

My work is usually all about the dogs doing their thing, but every now and then a moment between a dog and their person stops me in my tracks. It’s not always about ribbons or wins — the real win is the time we get to spend with our dogs. The quiet encouragement, the shared pride, the joy in simply being there together. Those are the moments that melt my heart and feel just as worthy of preserving.

Cheers to everyone who supports professional photography, and to the furry athletes who show up simply to please, play, and have fun. All of the images shared here were captured throughout 2025 at various events — and I’m already looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings. 🐾

Wishing you and your dogs a season full of good runs, good company, and great memories, because these moments matter just as much as the action.
