A lifelong bucket list item: checked. ✔️

To truly capture the mood of Peggy’s Cove, you have to beat the crowds. I arrived at 6am to find the village wrapped in morning fog and completely empty. Having a location this iconic all to yourself is an unforgettable, peaceful experience.

Nova Scotia, you were beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

Yesterday, while shooting hair competition entries at , the power suddenly cut out in the whole neighbourhood. In the middle of the scramble to figure out our next steps, I looked over and saw Deborah Seguin—the salon’s co-owner and one of our makeup artists for the day—leaning against the wall, casually eating an apple. Even amidst the chaos, she looked entirely effortless, striking, and incredibly chic.

I asked her to jump in front of the lens for a quick 30 seconds. To match her look, I wanted to channel a distinct Tim Walker aesthetic—swapping to a 35mm to embrace that raw, distorted wide-angle perspective using only the available window light.

Thankfully, I brought battery power backups to finish the main shoot, but there is always a special kind of magic in the moments you could never have planned for. 🍎
