Went to shoot the Perseid meteor shower tonight. Saw an amazingly long bright one that broke up in the sky. But, it was out of frame. However, I did capture this beauty anyways. 🌠✨☄️

I call it, "The Sky Watches in Silence" – evoking the woman’s face in the clouds as a silent guardian over the forest. 🌳👁️🌌

The clouds were a tease until they thinned out for a few peeks at the partial solar eclipse today. It's super special when your eye, the Earth, the moon and the Sun are all in perfect alignment. It's one of those events that allow us to witness and perceive the motion of the moon's orbit in real time as it passes across the Sun. I caught a few shots with my phone. Super cool! Shout out to Scott D Young of the Manitoba Planetarium and to the Winnipeg Royal Astronmical Society of Canada - Winnipeg Chapter (https://winnipeg.rasc.ca/). Many viewing instruments were on site for some special viewing. About 500 people of all ages passed through during the event.
