Continuing on out in East Kildonan, today's spotlight moves into the Rossmere area with Centennial Park. Found on the west side of Raleigh St, this park features a war memorial, flower garden, picnic area, playground, and pathways winding through a forested area.

A ways north along Kildonan Dr, you'll find Bergen Cutoff Park. This long raised pathway cuts through a forested area that was once an active rail line in the 1920s. An old bridge across the Red River still stands here, cutting through towards the Kildonan Golf Course.

Heading into the East Kildonan area, today's spotlight is on Fraser's Grove Park, which splits Kildonan Dr between Larchdale Cres and Rossmere Cres. This vast forested area, offers trails running along the Red River, plenty of open space and picnic tables, and a playground.

Today's spotlight takes us to the Seven Oaks House Museum, located east of Main St off Rupertsland Blvd. This historic site was once owned by John Inkster from the mid 19th century, and is one of the oldest surviving residences in Manitoba. Today I'm starting to fill in some of the missing areas of the city. I've posted a large photo gallery for Kildonan Park, found along the western shore of the Red River off Main St. This large park is home to Rainbow Stage, the Prairie's Edge restaurant, and the enchanting Witch's Hut. There are plenty of picnic sites, two separate garden areas, two playgrounds, and plenty of open spaces scattered throughout the park.

Today's spotlight finishes up the photo galleries in the Maybank neighbourhood, with the Pembina Crest Greenspace. This open area features a baseball diamond, with an adjoining playground and seating area attached to the nearby day care centre.

We've had a pretty good September weather-wise, so it was quite productive for my park visit adventures! I focused heavily on continuing to visit every park out in the Rossmere area of East and North Kildonan.

I also headed to a whole new area, out in the Island Lakes neighbourhood south of Abinojii Mikanah (the former Bishop Grandin Blvd).

Today's spotlight continues filling in the Maybank neighborhood, with Belair Park. Found along Belair Rd and Brisbane Ave, the park features a playground and sizeable open area.
