Lots of rain this past week, but today is finally looking to be a great day to get out to some parks! I'm planning on heading out for a photo session.

But before that, I've put up another small batch of jigsaw puzzles -- this time in the wider River Heights area, particularly the Crescentwood neighbourhood. Peg City Parks Jigsaw continues to grow! 🧩

Just east of Benson Park, on the other side of Corydon Ave, you'll find the Corydon - Hugo Piazza. This urban plaza is found on the east side of Hugo St N, featuring a fountain and plenty of benches next to gardens. Check out the full photo gallery over on the Exploring Winnipeg Parks website!

Continuing on in River Heights as we move further east, today's spotlight is Benson Park. This playground is found at the corner of McMillan Ave and Cockburn St N, a block north of Corydon Ave.

Today's spotlight continues next to the Grant Park high school with the Grant Park Athletic Grounds, which runs along the north side of Taylor Ave at Nathaniel St. Home of the Winnipeg South End United Soccer Club, these athletic grounds feature a forest of soccer fields, and the Charles A. Barbour Arena.

Today's spotlight takes us into the Grant Park area with Rooster Town Park. This area was previously settled by Metis families, when it was known as Pakan Town until 1959. Today, it sits next to the Pan Am Pool, Bill and Helen Norrie Library, and Grant Park High School. The park area features a playground and long open area alongside Grant Ave.

Today's spotlight takes us to Enderton Park, a cozy neighbourhood park along Ruskin Row, a few blocks east of Kelvin High School. Nicknamed Peanut Park by the local community, this park features a playground, and network of pathways passing by several community flower gardens.
