Well my friends, there it is... I shot my 1000th Pro Game (NHL & AHL) this evening.
If you told me 20 years ago that I would shoot 1000 games of professional hockey I probably would have just giggled and said "yeah right." Now the reality has set in.
When I started shooting for the Manitoba Moose so many years ago I was just a skinny kid with a passion for the game. I was kind of thrown into the position ill-equipped not quite sure what I was doing. But like anything else in life, if you do something long enough and put in the time you will eventually get pretty good at it.
I got to meet a lot great people over the years including some of my "photographer heroes." These shooters had such an impact on me that I can't even begin to explain it. I'm afraid to name them all because I don't want to leave anybody out. But if you know me, you probably know who they are.
I'd like to thank the and the organizations, as well as the and for their continued support over the years.
This job is actually about people... those that I work with, those that play the game, and those that I can share my storytelling images with. Without all of you, there is nothing. I appreciate you all! π
Thanks to my current crew of .photography and for always helping to make my gamedays a little bit easier.
Also thanks to for taking these post-game photos.
Lastly, thanks to my wife (who deserves a medal, BTW) for the endless support putting up with me being out at the rink countless nights in the winter months. It's a tough gig but she holds everything else together.
Let's go for 2000??? π€π
