I was not only the photographer for Lindsey & Robert but I felt like a true guest who was welcomed by every person! I was treated with so much kindness and appreciation. They had hand written notes to all of their guests & wait for it… they were origami swans!
The words they wrote to me brought tears to my eyes and I will cherish it forever!
I had Steph refold it for me after (❤️)

They even broke out some early 2000’s bangers that had me on the dance floor 💃

Well it’s Tuesday & the last Tuesday of summer vacation.
The last few days I’ve been really reminiscing. About the last few months, summers, my childhood.
I can’t walk into a room without some sort of reminder of a past joy.
Right now I’m in a room full of stranger and feel completely alone absorbed into my own work, my own life, art, craft.
The world is spinning around us and we’re just living.
Every moment you are in is a memory waiting to happen.
Every tiny little ordinary moment, could live a million little lives in someone else’s mind.

I think that’s beautiful and something so important to remember.

This years beach minis took place at lakeside park in kingsville & seaclif beach in leamington! They actually couldn’t have gone any better. I was so fortunate to have the most beautiful weather & amazing families join me!
I was comparing beaches & while I was going through the images I realize that both locations brought so much to the table… I actually cannot wait for next year!

I am not a cookie cutter photographer..
I’m Sarah, Lead photographer of Sarah Dawn Photography & I started my business because I learned that I was valued as a creative & an artist. Not because of what camera I use or how many followers I have.

I started shooting weddings in 2018. I remembered when I started I felt like an imposter, and there was so much in my algorithm about imposter syndrome. Ironic isn’t it?
Now it’s 2026, I’ve photographed more than 50 weddings.
& I still look at each one as an absolute honour to be chosen for their day.
I pay attention to what’s important to them.
I curate their gallery based on them. Not based on the usual or typical or standard or trending.
I don’t take the same photos at every wedding.
Every couple is different, why should their galleries be the same.

8 years of weddings, 10 years of finding myself through my lens and 16 years of owning DSLRs.
36 years of finding myself.
