I don’t photograph a whole lot of weddings these days, but every once in a while, I get to be part of something really special.

January 2nd, 2027, I get to celebrate these two. Diana + Devon. 🤍

For their engagement session, we kept things close to home. Literally. We started at their house, wandered through their favourite local park, and made our way to a spot where they spend a lot of their time together.

Nothing overly complicated. Just the two of them, in places that already mean something to them.

And I think that’s what I loved most about this session. It felt like a little glimpse into their everyday life, exactly as it is right now, before they become husband and wife.

Anyway, I just really wanted to share these two. And I can’t wait for January. 🤍

You’re missing the story.

And no, I don’t mean you need another photo of yourself holding a coffee, sitting at your laptop, or pretending to have the time of your life answering emails. 😂

I think sometimes we get so caught up in what brand photography is supposed to look like that we forget there’s an actual person behind the business. And usually a pretty interesting one.

Take Kathleen of My White Oak Consulting.

We’ve been building her brand imagery in phases, and it’s been so much fun getting to explore the different sides of her, what she does, what matters to her, and everything in between.

Not everything needs to happen in one afternoon. In fact, I’d argue that sometimes it’s better when it doesn’t.

There’s so much more to your business than the service you offer, and so much more to you than your job title.

The funny thing is, the stuff you think nobody cares about might be exactly what makes someone want to work with you.

So maybe we stop worrying so much about what everyone else is doing with their brand photos and start figuring out what actually makes yours interesting?

If your current photos are giving people your job description but not much else, we should probably chat.

I’m planning brand sessions for the new year, and I’d love to hear what you’re working on. Send me a message and let’s see what we can come up with.

I’m going to start by saying something you probably already know about me. I really don’t love AI. 🙃

Especially when it comes to photography and creative work.

BUT, I’m making an exception because I’ve been trying to find a way to show you what Soyon of Soyon • Fine Art Wedding + Event Florist and I have been working on for this year’s holiday sessions.

We have a wreath that’s already been created, materials that have been sourced and purchased, and sketches that Soyon has thoughtfully put together.

What we don’t have just yet are the finished installations.

So I took all of those details and used AI to help bring our ideas to life, just enough to give you a better idea of what we’re creating.

And here they are!

Two very different holiday-inspired settings, filled with natural greenery, beautiful textures, soft colours, and all the little details that make something feel special. And you don’t have to choose. You and your family will have access to both along with a handmade beautiful ornament to take home as a keepsake.

These are just visual concepts, not the finished product. And knowing Soyon’s work, I have a feeling the real thing will be even better.

Because at the end of the day, nothing replaces the creativity, talent, and hands that actually bring something like this to life.

November 7, 8, 14 & 15.

One of the sweetest parts of what I do? Watching your families grow.

From tiny newborns to first birthdays, new milestones, and all the little changes in between, there’s something pretty special about welcoming familiar faces back into my studio year after year.

The kids get bigger, personalities start to shine, and every session tells a slightly different chapter of your family’s story.

And while I love meeting new families, having clients return and trusting me to document these moments again and again is something I never take for granted.

Because these are the years that seem to move the fastest. And having a little piece of each one to look back on? That’s pretty wonderful.

Here’s to growing families, familiar faces, and making space to remember it all. 🤍

You’d never know he was nervous.

Gianluca came into the studio needing headshots as he prepares to pursue acting and singing career at university. Let me tell you, he was nervous.

Being in front of a camera doesn’t come naturally to everyone, even those who are comfortable performing in front of an audience.

But that’s part of my job. Helping people get comfortable enough to let their personality come through.

We took our time, worked through different expressions, played with subtle changes in movement and direction, and before long, those nerves started to disappear.

And the results? SO good.

We created a collection of headshots that showed his personality, confidence, warmth, and range. Images that will help him put his best foot forward as he takes this next step in acting and singing.

You don’t need to know how to pose or feel confident in front of a camera. That’s what I’m here for.

Gianluca, wishing you all the best. I can’t wait to see where your talent takes you!

There’s a lot more going into these holiday sessions than choosing a backdrop and setting up a camera.

I’ve partnered with floral artist Soyon of to create something entirely different for the studio this year.

Two original installations, designed and created specifically for these sessions. We’re working with natural greenery, beautiful textures, unexpected details and pieces that bring a little more warmth and character into the space.

And because the smallest details matter, Soyon is also creating a handmade ornament for each family to take home.

What you’re seeing here is a little glimpse into her creative world and the thought going into what we’re building together.

The installations aren’t finished yet, and that’s part of what makes this collaboration so special. You’re getting to see a little of the process before it all comes together.

November 7, 8, 14 & 15

Each session includes the opportunity to be photographed within both installations.

Booking is open through the link in my bio.

Four years ago, I bet on myself.

Which sounds very brave and inspiring now.

At the time, it felt more like, well, I guess we’re fu***ng doing this.

I didn’t start this business because I had some perfectly mapped-out five-year plan. I started with a dream, an idea of what I wanted my life to look like, and enough belief in myself to take the first step.

And then came the actual work.

The learning.
The undercharging.
The overthinking.
The saying yes when I should have said no.
The figuring out what kind of photographer I wanted to be, and more importantly, what kind of business I wanted to build.

There were seasons when I questioned everything.

There were also moments when I looked around and thought, holy s**t. I built this.

Four years later, I’m not the same photographer. I’m definitely not the same business owner.

I know what my work is worth.
I know who I want to work with.
I know that growth doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means getting really good at knowing what deserves your time.

And I’ve learned that being scared doesn’t necessarily mean you’re making the wrong decision.

Sometimes it just means you’re standing at the edge of something you haven’t done before.

I’m still building. Still changing my mind. Still raising the bar. Still occasionally wondering what the hell I’m doing.

But I bet on myself four years ago.

And I’d do it again! 🤍
