I'm a bit behind on posting teasers from this session, but honestly I've just been struggling on what image to share first. 😅

I had the pleasure of visiting Miramichi Farms (home of P.R.A.N.C.E. Pegasus Riding Association Nuturing Challenged Equestrians ) to photograph a bunch of their horses last weekend. Mostly Icelandic ponies, as well as a wonderful horse from the Prance program. Icelandics are a breed that I've always admired from afar, but have never had a chance to meet in person until now. They are absolutely as cute up close as you'd expect! I'm a self proclaimed pony addict, and you can bet that if my car wasn't full of camera gear and glitter, I'd have snuck a pony home with me. 😂

It's September 1st. I don't care that it's still technically summer. I've been drinking pumpkin spice iced capps for about 2 weeks now. I'm wearing hoodies more regularly. The leaves are changing. As far as I'm concerned, it's the start of spooky season.

So to kick off spooky season, here's another photo from the fun session I had at Sandhill Creek Flower Farm. Once things slow down for me, I'll devote even more time to these photos. I can't wait to share more from this day!

I've been a bit too quiet on here lately, as I've gotten distracted with editing. It's a good thing to be busy, but I'm only one person so when I'm busy shooting and editing, unfortunately my social media tends to take a back seat.

Here's a bit of before and after magic from my recent session with Katie and her gorgeous horses.

When you book a session with me, you're getting the full service treatment. I personally edit each image individually. I use presets that I've crafted myself over years of knowing what works. This helps streamline and speed up basic editing such as colour correction and light adjustments.

From there, I work over every detail of an image. You'll notice in this example that I've adjusted Bear's right ear so that both his ears are forward. I've also removed t-posts, fence posts, and a hydro pole, as well as made a minor adjustment to Tilly's tail. These changes are hand edited through techniques that I've learned and mastered over the past two decades of editing photos. I don't use generative AI for any of my adjustments.

So when I leave our session, my work is just beginning, and I love it! You can absolutely trust me to recreate those special moments with your horse, and to give you a keepsake that you'll cherish forever.

How beautiful are Katie and her lovely mare, Tilly? I love how Katie's dress compliments Tilly's colour, and it looks so stunning against the green of the grass. This session was a ton of fun. Katie is an absolute riot to be around, and I can't wait to share more images from our time together!
