THATS A WRAP! - Home from an incredible, bone-chilling, shoot this week in Dawson City! What makes a shoot truly unforgettable, when the mornings begin at -38, your toes and finger tips are burning, and you can barely view your screen because your glasses keep icing over? It starts with a client who has a clear vision of what they are wanting, but who gives me the creative freedom to mold it and infuse my style into each shot. It’s the models who, despite the freezing temps, show up with enthusiasm, bring excitement and persevere until the lights are tweaked, and the parkas are looking their absolute best. The dogs, who through the love of their owners and treats they are given, bring an image to life! And to the lighting grip, who bravely trudges through the deep snow and elevates the light to perfection, until those sweet words are said. ‘That’s a wrap!’ A great shoot is not just one person, or photographer, it’s a team that comes together to create something truly special!
