Stepping into another world…
Hidden beneath the surface, the glacier breathes, shifts, and carves its own cathedral of light and ice. Every step here is a reminder: nothing is permanent, everything is alive.
Fragile ceilings, deep blue silence, and that surreal glow this is where time slows down and respect takes over. You don’t conquer places like this… you’re just allowed in for a moment.
Grateful to witness these frozen sculptures before they disappear.

Lost in the immensity.
A tiny dot in a world of ice, rock, and silence. Out here, between the Yukon and Alaska, the mountains make no compromises.
The rider almost disappears into the landscape. And that’s the point, to feel small, so you can truly see how vast it all is.
In these wild places, we don’t conquer anything but our soul.
We pass through. We observe. We respect.
And sometimes… we leave a trace, brief and fragile, soon erased by the wind or new snow.

There are days in the mountains when nothing lines up.
Wind, light, snow… always one piece missing.
And then there are moments like this.
When the cold has preserved the surface just right.
When the wind has sculpted without destroying.
When the light arrives exactly where it should turning rock into fire and snow into silk.

These moments don’t happen by chance.
They belong to those who wait.
Those who turn back.
Those who come again… and again… until the mountain quietly says: now.

Patience isn’t just part of the game up here
it’s the price of witnessing beauty at its purest.

And when everything finally aligns…
you realize it was never about the summit.
It was about being there at the right moment with the right persons.

Il y a des jours en montagne où rien ne s’aligne.
Le vent, la lumière, la neige… il manque toujours une pièce.Et puis il y a ces moments.Quand le froid a préservé la surface juste comme il faut.
Quand le vent a sculpté sans détruire.
Quand la lumière arrive exactement là où elle doit transformant la roche en feu et la neige en soie.

Ces instants n’arrivent pas par hasard.ils appartiennent à ceux qui savent attendre.
À ceux qui font demi-tour.
À ceux qui reviennent… encore et encore… jusqu’à ce que la montagne murmure : maintenant.

La patience n’est pas seulement une partie du jeu ici.c’est le prix à payer pour toucher à la beauté la plus pure.

Et quand tout finit par s’aligner…
tu comprends que ce n’était jamais le sommet le plus important.
Mais le fait d’être là, au bon moment avec les bonnes personnes.

Sun’s back but so are the cold temps and north winds.
Snow conditions are highly variable right now. Expect wind-affected snow near the summits, with better riding conditions the further inland you go. Still some really fun turns out there if you choose your terrain wisely.

I noticed an increase in natural avalanches, mainly on south and west aspects
Activity becomes more frequent inland (north of Log Cabin)
Snowpack inland is deeper than usual, but still sitting on persistent weak layers (depth hoar) wiith big temperature swings and strong solar input during the day, the snowpack is getting a lot of energy.

Good skiing is out there but watch for large avalanche potential inland and be extra cautious into sun-exposed terrain but also in some steep North faces.
Stay patient, stay sharp, and keep it fun spring is just around the corner.

Interesting urban avalanche that happened today on the clay cliffs close to the Millenium trail parking lot. Humanly triggered and big enough to bury or injured someone. No judgements, just a good reminder. A few decades ago 1 kid toboganing got killed by an avalanche just a few hundred meters from main street.

Long winter. Cold, stubborn, and not always generous. Days of waiting, watching, turning back… and learning.
And then finally — this. Deep, soft, and worth every bit of patience.
This season reminded me that it’s not just about chasing the good turns. It’s about knowing when to wait, when to walk away, and how to move carefully through a tricky snowpack.
Because in the end, it’s always about the same thing: having fun out there — and coming home safe.
Patience. Caution. And then… pure joy
