I will NOT be using an AI-generated poster to convince you to book my Christmas minis! (or to book anything actually) 🎄

I’ve used AI to make fun things in the past, but that was before I really understood the impact of generating all of these images. And as a graphic designer, I also can’t help but feel a little sad watching AI-generated posters replace so much of the actual art and design work people have spent years learning to create.

But there’s another reason I won’t use one for my minis:

I want you to book because you love my photography. ❤️🥹

I’m going to advertise my Christmas minis using real photos I’ve taken, of real families, in real studio setups, so you can actually get a vision of what YOUR family photos could look like.

Because wouldn’t you rather see my actual work vs. a perfectly generated version of a photo I didn’t take, advertising a setup that may not even exist, and then start to expect or believe your photos will look just like it? 😅

OUR “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE” GRAND OPENING PRICE IS COMING TO AN END!

When we launched True North Adventure Elopements, we wanted to start with something BIG. We introduced our helicopter elopement package at an incredible grand opening price.

And honestly? It really was an insane deal.

For $4,500, couples receive:

🚁 Round-trip helicopter flights to an incredible mountaintop location
📸 Professional wedding photography
💍 Your wedding day officiant
🥂 Planning, coordination, champagne & the full adventure elopement experience

We intentionally priced our first season extremely low while we launched this new side of the business, built our portfolio, created relationships with our vendors and, most importantly, proved that this crazy little dream could actually work.

But we always knew that price couldn’t last forever.

At $4,500, the package simply isn’t priced sustainably for everything that goes into creating these experiences. So as our grand opening season comes to an end, so does our introductory pricing.

Beginning in October, our helicopter elopement package will increase to $6,000 + GST. This will be our standard package price moving forward.

BUT there is still time to take advantage of our original pricing!

✨ Book before October 1st and you can still lock in the $4,500 + GST package price for your future elopement. ✨

You don’t have to get married before October. You just have to get your date booked before our new pricing takes effect.

A MOUNTAINTOP ELOPEMENT OVERLOOKING FISH LAKE.

And the best part? This location is vehicle accessible.

Not every adventure elopement in the Yukon needs a helicopter or floatplane. We can also access incredible places like this for an intimate micro wedding with your very closest friends and family, or just the two of you.

You can still have a day packed with adventure, romance, breathtaking views, and those larger-than-life Yukon moments, just in a slightly different way.

We even had time after their ceremony to stop at Miles Canyon for another adventure and more photos.

What happens when you move North and start an all-women Facebook group built around safety, kindness, and simply giving women a place to ask questions?

Somewhere along the way, it becomes so much more than a Facebook group.

It becomes a community.

For three years now, we have been holding free events for women in the Yukon to connect, and now we’re bringing that same energy to the NWT. This was our first project bringing the two groups of women together to show off the North in a creative way.

Because I believe two things with my whole heart:

Women need other women.
Women need creative outlets.

We hosted photo walks in both territories with one simple idea: Go for a walk. Look for colour. Photograph the North through YOUR eyes.

And the results were incredible.

We could all walk the exact same streets, pass the exact same buildings, see the exact same colours, and somehow create completely different photographs.

Because creativity is personal.

Same place. Completely different perspectives.

And I think there is something really beautiful about that.

Having a creative outlet and having incredible women in your corner are two things I consider fundamental in both my personal life and my businesses. This project brought those two worlds together in the best possible way.

To create something just because we could.

To meet women we may never have crossed paths with otherwise.

And to show off just how freaking beautiful our northern communities are.

The North is filled with creativity, connection, colour, and some truly incredible women.

And I hope we keep finding more reasons to create together.
