We love seeing photographers bring their bridal parties into The Vintage Loft. Watching them turn our spaces into gorgeous wedding memories is exactly why we love what we do.

Because let’s face it… gorgeous bridal party photos are a whole lot more fun when there aren’t frozen fingers and chattering teeth.

Bring your favourite people, the dresses, the suits, and all that newlywed excitement indoors. We’ve got the beautiful spaces, the perfect lighting, and plenty of room for a little bridal party chaos. 🥂

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we take time to listen, learn, reflect, and acknowledge. 🧡

Here at The Vintage Loft, our Land Acknowledgement is also finding a permanent place within our space.

We wanted it to be more than something we share once a year or post for a day. This building is a place where people gather, create, celebrate, tell stories and make memories — and we believe it’s important to recognize the history of the land on which all of those moments take place.

We acknowledge that The Vintage Loft, here in Whitby, is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, within the lands covered by the Williams Treaties and Treaty 13, and with a long history connected to the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples.

Our acknowledgement will remain here as a small but permanent reminder to honour the history, care for the land, and recognize the ongoing presence of Indigenous communities.

What We Leave Behind 🍂

Last night, The Vintage Loft became the setting for something a little different.

Donna transformed the space for An Autumn Gathering in The Grove — an intimate evening created for women to slow down, connect, reflect, and let go of some of what they no longer wanted to carry into the season ahead.

There’s something pretty special about watching a room we know so well completely change with the intention behind an event. Soft lighting, beautiful details, meaningful conversation and a group of women gathered together for a fresh start as we move into fall.

We love seeing our studio used this way — not just for photographs or celebrations, but for connection, community and experiences that mean something.

With a little website refresh happening, Mikhela popped into the studio for some updated headshots… and naturally, her newest little sidekick had to sneak into a few.

Inspired by the charm of an English country manor, The Grand Manor blends rich evergreens, chocolate velvet, aged wood, and glowing candlelight into a cozy holiday setting. Gather on the sofa. beneath the grand wreath or around the tree to create moments that feel like Home.

We will also have alternate throw pillows & blankets to coordinate with families outfits (dark green, burgundy, light tan)

Some weddings feel less like a timeline… and more like a movie
