Ever have one of those days? Where no matter how hard you try. you just can't find any birds to photograph? Clearly yesterday wasn't one of those days. 😄 Here I was lining up another shot, when a storm of snow geese decided to photobomb me!

Some days all the action happens right at the end - in this case I was loading my camera gear into the car when this fine specimen came and landed on a nearby branch.

Meet Pete! He's Mrs. Chonkers' neighbor. Some folks call him 'Big Pete' but that name makes him feel self-conscious. Pete prefers to think of himself as 'husky'. Pete's a really nice guy but he's a little on the shy side. He's trying to work up the courage to go and say 'Hi' to the other marmots. ❤️

My daughter has officially named this yellow bellied marmot 'Mrs. Chonkers.' Mrs. Chonkers and I got to spend a morning together yesterday, and I was able to capture some delightful moments like this one. If the weather improves I may try to get back out there for another visit. Lower mainland of British Columbia.
