Engagement photos are better when the whole family comes along. And yes, obviously that includes the dog. 💛

F + L brought sweet Beau along for their engagement session at Sunset Beach in St. Catharines and he was VERY committed to his role as third wheel/model/supervisor.

We had gorgeous evening light, the beach almost entirely to ourselves and so many sweet little moments between these two. The kind of engagement session that feels less like posing for photos and more like hanging out together somewhere beautiful while I follow you around with a camera.

I absolutely love when couples bring their dogs along. They’re part of your story too and they deserve their moment. 🐾

I know I’m supposed to sell you on the mobile bar but there is a DOG IN A VINTAGE CHAIR 🐕

One of my favourite things about photographing Mobile Mixer is that the whole setup has so much personality. It isn’t just a place to grab a drink. Running a small business while raising babies means sometimes your kids are also your coworkers.

Pop-up happening, café full, coffee flowing and somewhere in the middle of it all, you’re still a parent.

I love this part of photographing small businesses. So many local shops aren’t just businesses, they’re family life happening in real time. Kids grow up behind the counter, tag along to events, make friends with the regulars and snack their way through pop-ups while their parents build something pretty damn cool around them.

There are some businesses you photograph and immediately think, ohhh, these are my people. in Fonthill is one of those places. 🇮🇹 You will absolutely catch me in their shop long after the camera stops clicking.

They’re a bunch of genuinely cool people making the kind of Italian food that feels like it came straight out of someone’s nonna’s kitchen. And listen… I am currently eating their peach + prosciutto pizza while writing this and I cannot overstate how incredibly good it is. Sweet Niagara peaches, salty prosciutto, caramelized onions. perfect pizza, 10/10. no notes.

I’m so excited to be working with them to capture the food, the people and the personality behind their business because that’s my favourite kind of business photography. Not just pretty product photos. Not just someone standing awkwardly behind a counter.

I want to show people what it actually feels like to walk through your doors. The hands making the food. The people behind the business. The little details. The things your customers love. The personality that makes your business yours. Because your business has a story. Your photos should feel like it.

The Dunsby Family vs. Mother Nature: 68 reschedules later… THE DUNSBYS WON. 😂☔️🏆

We fought the rain, moved the date approximately one million times and somehow still ended up with the sweetest family session. 💛

Honestly, these are the sessions that remind me why I love what I do. The laughs, the cuddles and the chaos of getting everyone together make for the best kind of memories. And after ALL that waiting, I’m so glad we finally got our day. 📸

These two are heading off to school this fall and OBVIOUSLY they needed photos to take with them. Because bare apartment walls? Absolutely not. We’re filling those things with memories.

I love a couples session that feels less like “okay, pose here” and more like this is just what you two look like when you’re together. A little wandering, a lot of laughing, some ridiculously pretty light and two people who make photographing them very, very easy.

The Wendling et al. family brought ALL the fun to their Niagara family session, but little Elliot and Hayes? Absolute scene stealers. 😂💛 I’m pretty sure Hayes thought this was less of a photo session and more of an Olympic sport. Swipe alllll the way to the end to see Papa launching Hayes into the air because obviously we needed photographic evidence of the chaos. 😂

The sweetest families are the ones who let their kids be exactly who they are, wild moments, big laughs, flying children and all. And this family was pure magic. 💛

Niagara family photography, candid family photos and documentary-style family sessions are my favourite kind of chaos.

Hot take: Your family does NOT have to be posted publically in order to be worth celebrating. 💛

I completely respect when parents choose not to share their kids’ faces online. Honestly, I get it. The internet is weird, privacy matters and you get to decide what parts of your family’s life make it onto the internet. BUT if you’re still cool with me sharing a little peek at your session, faceless photos are one of my favourite ways to do it.

So if you’ve been thinking, “I’d love family photos but I don’t want my kids plastered all over Instagram,” COME TO ME. We can make magic without putting anyone’s face online. ✨ And if you’d rather I keep the whole gallery completely offline? Also totally fine. No weirdness. No convincing. No “but it would be SO good for my Instagram.”

Your family’s privacy comes before my content calendar. Always.
