📚🐾 DAY 8 OF MY BOOK TOUR – INDIGO OSHAWA! 🐾📚

And just like that... Day 8 is in the books! 📚🐾

What an amazing day in Oshawa!

One of the biggest highlights was having another one of my former university roommates stop by to support me. It was so great catching up, hearing about his life, and especially getting to hear about his partner. These unexpected reunions have been one of the coolest parts of this entire tour! ❤️

And then there was a moment that definitely didn't make me emotional... okay, maybe a little. 😂

A young girl who had spent quite a bit of time at my table earlier in the day came back on her way out just to say goodbye, because she had enjoyed our conversation and the experience so much.

I'm not crying... you're crying. 🥹❤️

I loved watching kids and families get curious about wildlife, ask questions, explore the books, and get hands-on with the real pelts, skulls, vertebrae, and other wildlife artifacts.

Another great day filled with wildlife, conversations, connections, and plenty of smiles!

And of course, Bones was once again collecting hugs, high-fives, photos, and plenty of attention! 🦴📸

Have you ever felt like you were being watched in the forest?

Well sometimes you are.

I was lucky to spend some time with this family of 3 barred owlets in a forest.

I witnessed many special moments from being inside the nest, to outside the nest, parents returning, an intruder, fights, and so much more.

My favourite moment might be when the one owlet turned and p**ped at my camera, a huge p**p! Hahaha

📚🐾 DAY 7 OF MY BOOK TOUR – INDIGO CAMBRIDGE! 🐾📚

Another amazing stop on the Going Deeper with Jason George book tour—and this one came with a VERY unexpected reunion!

One of the highlights of the day was walking into Indigo Cambridge and unexpectedly running into my former university roommate! 😲 We hadn't seen each other in years, so getting the chance to catch up completely made my day. You never know who is going to walk through the doors at these events!

I also met so many wonderful new people and had some incredible conversations about wildlife, photography, education, travel, and the stories behind my books. Every stop seems to introduce me to new people who share the same curiosity and passion for the natural world.

And the connections didn't even stop when the signing ended!

At dinner afterward, we happened to sit beside an amazing family, and before long we were chatting like we'd known each other much longer.

Of course, Bones was once again collecting hugs, high-fives, smiles, and plenty of photos throughout the day!

🌿 JGP PROWL GOES FORAGING! 🌿

The JGP Prowl Wildlife Club took on a BRAND-NEW adventure for 2026 — our very first foraging trip with the incredible Barefoot Brian! 🥾🌲

We headed to Metcalfe Rock with explorers ages 5+ and spent the day learning how to slow down, look closely, and discover what the forest has to offer.

🌿 We learned about wild plants
🍵 Made our own natural herbal tea
💧 Drank fresh spring water
🌱 Sampled different plants
🥾 Explored the forest
🧠 Learned about sustainable foraging and respecting nature

And the adventure started with a little bonus… one lucky JGP Prowl member found $20 on the trail! 💰😂

Barefoot Brian showed us that there is so much happening around us when we take the time to stop, look, listen, and learn. It was an amazing opportunity for our young explorers to experience nature in a completely different way.

One of my favourite parts of the JGP Prowl is creating experiences that get kids OUTSIDE and CONNECTED to nature, not just learning about wildlife from a book, but actually experiencing it.

And the best part?

We're already excited to come back with Barefoot Brian next year! 🙌🌿

Come join me on an incredible August wildlife adventure in Algonquin Park as we explore one of Ontario’s most spectacular wilderness areas on a guided wildlife tour!

This trip delivered some amazing encounters. We found a mother black bear with two cubs, and watching them search for grubs was unforgettable. Mom was incredibly powerful, with massive claws, huge strength, and the ability to flip surprisingly large rocks while searching for food!

We also encountered a tagged black bear, 2 moose, and an incredible 13 loons during our adventure through Algonquin.

But this trip wasn't just about wildlife. I also brought along some of my writing work. Between wildlife encounters and bathroom breaks, I continued working on my German Moose book, while also capturing photographs and gathering material for my upcoming 10th English book in the Going Deeper with Jason George series, my bear book!

The bear book will explore black, brown, polar and sloth bears in the wild, continuing my wildlife education and photography series for readers from Grade 4 through adults.

Come along as I share the highlights, wildlife sightings, photography, and unforgettable moments from this August adventure in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario.

EPIC 1st is built on community support, where donated tickets, events, and funds create once-in-a-lifetime “first” experiences for participants. This game was no different. From the moment we arrived, the energy was incredible. We connected with amazing people around the stadium.

The group received shirts, hats, swag, and even batting practice balls, making the day even more special. And now a awesome display coaster.

From the seats, to the people around us, to the big win, everything came together for another EPIC 1st success story.

🌊 Jason George’s Wild Canada Adventures – Protecting Ontario’s wildlife and natural spaces! 🦅🐟

The JGP Prowl Wildlife Club was back for our 3rd Annual Beach Clean-Up at Beach Area 2 in Wasaga Beach, teaming up with some incredible community partners — Georgian Bay Forever, the Climate Action Team, and the Rotary Club — to help protect one of Ontario’s most incredible freshwater ecosystems. 🌎💙

And WOW… the weather did not make it easy! 🌬️❄️ Strong winds, freezing temperatures and even snow flurries couldn’t stop this amazing group of volunteers from getting to work.

In just 2 hours, we removed 238.32 pounds of garbage from the beach! 💪🗑️

📊 3 YEARS OF JGP PROWL BEACH CLEAN-UPS

2026 — 238.32 lbs
2025 — 241.4 lbs
2024 — 342.8 lbs

That’s 822.52 pounds of garbage removed from the environment over three years! 🤯

Every piece we collect means less garbage reaching the water, less danger for wildlife, and a cleaner beach for everyone to enjoy.

But this day is about more than picking up garbage. It’s about education, teamwork, conservation and inspiring the next generation of wildlife advocates. 🐢🦆🐟

🦉🐺 JASON GEORGE’S WILD CANADA ADVENTURES! 🇨🇦
Exploring Ontario’s most incredible wildlife.

What an unforgettable day for the JGP PROWL Wildlife Club at Speaking of Wildlife in Orillia! 🌧️🦔

Even with the rain pouring down, our crew showed up ready to learn, help, and get hands-on with wildlife conservation!

One of the highlights? Helping care for a rescued porcupine including cleaning its enclosure! 😳😂 Not exactly glamorous, but an incredible lesson about what it really takes to care for wildlife.

Then came an amazing behind-the-scenes experience with a sandhill crane, bobcat, wolf and coyote. 🐺🦅 And yes… we even ended the day howling alongside the wolf and coyote! The kids’ faces were priceless!

But there was an extra-special moment for me. ❤️

Years ago, I rescued the first sandhill crane at the facility — Atticus. Coming back years later and sharing that story with the JGP PROWL members made this visit incredibly meaningful.
