Another amazing day of connecting, storytelling, and sharing my passion for wildlife! 🌎📸

Can't wait to return in November and there is already talk of a 3rd visit to this location!

Every stop on this tour seems to bring another memorable moment, but this one really surprised me...

A young reader came up to me and we chatted for a while, because he loved what I'm doing with my books, took $20 out of his own wallet and gave it to me. 🥹❤️

I honestly didn't know what to say.

It's not about the $20. It's about a kid believing in what I'm doing enough to give me what he had. That means more than he probably realizes.

These are the moments that make this book tour so special.

I've met so many incredible people, heard amazing stories, reconnected with old friends, and made new ones. I never know what is going to happen when I walk into an Indigo or Chapters—and that's part of the fun! 🐾

And of course, Bones was there collecting hugs, high-fives, smiles, and photos! 🦴📸

This is one of my favourite photos for so many different reasons...

But it reminds me of a bunch of friends returning... Today a bunch of my friends will be together for an amazing weekend of talking, teasing, food, some golf, and so much more.

We've been doing this since 2007, and so many amazing memories have happened over the years. Some people haven't been back in years, others have joined recently.

Happy KoS (Kings of Swings) to everyone coming this weekend, that has been to one in the past, or might attend in the future.

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

I love penguins, and have even written a book about them and my experiences with them. I was lucky enough to swim with a pair of them once in the Galapagos Islands years ago, and then in 2024 I saved one in South Africa.

🦌🔴 We went to the Arctic looking for Rudolph… but apparently he was busy! 😂❄️

My 82-year-old mom and I headed to Svalbard hoping to find some polar bears and maybe even Rudolph himself. 🐻‍❄️🦌

Well… we never found Rudolph. 🤷‍♂️

But we DID find plenty of his friends! 🦌🦌🦌

Svalbard reindeer were everywhere, along with Arctic foxes, walrus, seals, puffins, and eventually… POLAR BEARS! 🐻‍❄️

So I guess Rudolph was the only one who didn't get the memo. 😂

Still, not a bad Arctic adventure for me and Mom!

📚🐾 STOP 10 – INDIGO CONESTOGA! 🐾📚

Another incredible day on the Going Deeper with Jason George book tour!

The day was filled with amazing conversations, new friendships, and even a potentially exciting opportunity coming up in February! 👀 More on that if it comes together!

But one moment really stuck with me...

While talking with me and enjoying our conversation, one young reader decided he wanted to give me a donation.

He reached into his pocket and gave me every bit of money he had $0.10 cents. 🥹💜

It wasn't about the amount. It was about the thought behind it. A kid wanting to support what I'm doing and sharing everything he had really meant something to me.

Moments like that are why I love these events.

I also met a bunch of amazing new friends throughout the day and had another unexpected surprise when a friend I normally only see out in Algonquin Park showed up!

You truly never know who is going to walk through the doors at a book signing. 🐾

🫎💀 FROM STUDENT TO AUTHOR... WHAT A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT! 📚🐾

Stop 9 of my Going Deeper with Jason George book tour brought me back to St. Catharines, Ontario, where I went to both high school and university!

This time, I came back as a wildlife photographer, author, and educator, sharing my books and wildlife adventures with the community. 💜

And WOW... the conversations were non-stop!

I met so many amazing people who wanted to talk wildlife, photography, education, travel, and the stories behind my books.

One of my favourite moments was watching a young reader discover just how BIG a baby moose skull is! 🫎💀 He couldn't believe the size of it, and then got to actually touch it!

That's exactly why I bring real wildlife skulls, pelts, and vertebrae to these events. Seeing kids become curious and excited about wildlife is one of the best parts of what I do. 🐾

And of course, Bones was busy collecting hugs, high-fives, and photos! 🦴📸

🐅 Majestic Tigress of India 🇮🇳

One of those wildlife encounters I’ll never forget.

During my 2024 trip to India, I had the incredible opportunity to spend 4 hours with this magnificent Bengal tigress, and what made it even more special was that I was the one who spotted her! 👀🐅

For four unforgettable hours, we watched her go about her day in the wild.

She played on the road, stopped to clean herself, backed into a pond for a drink, and then walked right past us, scent marking as she went.

No rushing. No chasing. Just sitting quietly and watching a wild tiger simply being a tiger.

These are the moments I travel the world for, witnessing wildlife on its own terms and capturing a small piece of the story through my camera. 📸🌍

The Bengal tiger is one of the world's most iconic big cats, and being able to spend so much time observing one in the wild was truly incredible.

Four hours. One tigress. Memories that will last a lifetime. 💜

🐢 THE VOTES ARE IN… AND TURTLES WON! 🐢

I asked you what animal should be next in the Going Deeper with Jason George book series, and WOW… it was CLOSE!

The choices were:

One thing became very clear from the votes and comments:

🇨🇦 MAKE IT CANADIAN!

The top three choices were Loons, Beavers and Turtles — but in the end…

And the timing couldn't be better because this book is already well underway!

While I'm putting the finishing touches on Book #10 — Bears, I've also been working on the next adventure: Turtles!

And this one is going to be a BIG journey. 🌎

We have turtle stories, photographs and video from around the world — from the Galápagos Islands 🇪🇨 to Australia 🇦🇺, Jamaica 🇯🇲 and right here in Canada 🇨🇦.

Different species. Different habitats. Different challenges.

But one incredible group of animals.

🐢 TURTLES!

There are already lots of photographs and videos going into this book, and I can't wait to take you deeper into their world.
