Résidait à l’étage en santé mentale de la Mission Old Brewery. Dès que je l’ai rencontré, il a apporté une présence chaleureuse et profondément humaine au projet. Avec son grand sens de l’humour, il a rapidement transformé la séance photo en un moment de complicité, enchaînant les expressions et les grimaces devant l’objectif avec une spontanéité complètement naturelle.

Un appareil photo jetable lui avait été confié afin qu’il puisse montrer sa propre vision du monde. Malheureusement, celui-ci a été perdu avant que les images puissent être développées. C’est une absence importante dans le projet, car j’aurais sincèrement aimé découvrir ce qu’il aurait choisi de photographier à travers son regard.

Living on the mental health floor of the Mission Old Brewery. From the moment I met him, he brought a warm and deeply human presence to the project. With his strong sense of humor, he quickly turned the photo session into a moment of genuine connection, constantly making funny expressions and faces in front of the camera with completely natural spontaneity.

He was given a disposable camera so he could share his own perspective on the world. Unfortunately, the camera was lost before the images could be developed. It remains an important absence within the project, as I would have sincerely loved to discover what he chose to photograph through his own eyes.

Undeath — Théâtre Beanfield, Montréal — 1 mai, 2026 (English Below)

Undeath a amené une brutalité death metal totalement old school au Théâtre Beanfield le 1er mai dernier, transformant rapidement la salle en véritable chaos. Le groupe de Rochester a livré une performance sale, intense et sans répit, portée par des riffs écrasants, des vocals caverneux et une énergie constante autant sur scène que dans le pit.

« Necrobionics » a particulièrement frappé fort en spectacle, déclenchant instantanément le moshpit et gardant la foule en mouvement pendant toute la durée du set. Malgré la lourdeur extrême de la musique, le groupe est demeuré extrêmement solide et précis du début à la fin.

Court, violent et complètement assumé, le passage d’Undeath a laissé le Théâtre Beanfield totalement démoli.

Undeath brought pure old-school brutality to Théâtre Beanfield on May 1st, wasting no time turning the room into chaos. The Rochester death metal band delivered a filthy, relentless set packed with crushing riffs, cavernous vocals, and nonstop energy from both the stage and the crowd.

“Necrobionics” hit especially hard live, instantly igniting the pit and pushing the crowd into constant movement. Despite the overwhelming heaviness, the band remained impressively tight throughout the performance, balancing raw aggression with sharp ex*****on.

Short, violent, and unapologetically death metal, Undeath left the room completely demolished by the end of their set.

Crown Magnetar a complètement détruit le Théâtre Beanfield avec un set brutal, précis et sans répit. Entre les blasts dévastateurs, les breakdowns écrasants et l’intensité constante, le groupe deathcore du Colorado a gardé le pit en mouvement du début à la fin.
« Impaled Genesis » s’est parfaitement intégré au chaos avant une finale violente avec « Black Lotus ». Court, intense et sans compromis.

The live debut of “Impaled Genesis” fit naturally into the chaos before the band closed with a devastating “Black Lotus.” Short, violent, and completely uncompromising.

Mutilation Barbecue — Montréal- Théâtre Beinsfield - May 1st 2026

Mutilation Barbecue n’a pas pris le temps de s’installer, ils ont explosé ça dès le départ. Avec Skin Display et Necro, le ton était clair: une attaque directe, sans détour. Rendu à Grave Implosion, la salle était déjà embarquée solide.

Le bloc du milieu — Flesh Sample, Flesh et Hivemind — était dense et sans répit. Les riffs s’empilaient, le vocal restait cru, tout frappait fort avec une précision chaotique qui colle parfaitement au style. Acid Tub a rajouté une couche plus lourde, plus sombre.

En finale avec Decorticate et Realm of the Ossified, pas de flafla. Juste plus tight, plus lourd, plus intense.

Aucun moment inutile. Juste une exécution solide et brutale.

Mutilation Barbecue didn’t ease into their set, they detonated it. Opening with Skin Display and Necro, they immediately locked into a relentless, no-frills assault that never really let up. By the time Grave Implosion hit, the room was already fully committed, bodies moving, no hesitation.

The middle stretch — Flesh Sample, Flesh, and Hivemind — was pure density. Riffs stacked on riffs, vocals raw and unfiltered, everything delivered with that chaotic precision that defines good death metal. Acid Tub pushed things even further, leaning into a darker, heavier groove before the final run.

Closing on Decorticate and Realm of the Ossified, they didn’t try to be clever or theatrical, just heavier, tighter, and louder. It landed exactly how it should: direct and punishing.

No wasted moments, no filler. Just a band that knows exactly what it is and executes it hard.

Dethklok — Centre Bell, Montréal — 2 mai 2026 (English below 👇 )

Dethklok a abordé le Centre Bell avec une intention claire : livrer un impact précis, sans excès. Dès Deththeme et Awaken, l’intensité s’installe immédiatement, contrôlée et constante.

Bloodtrocuted, Burn the Earth et Bloodlines suivent avec une exécution chirurgicale, chaque moment tombant exactement en place. La performance est maîtrisée plutôt que chaotique, portée par le contrôle plus que par l’improvisation.

À mesure que le set se déploie, Birthday Dethday, Black Fire et Dethsupport maintiennent la pression, tandis que des pièces comme The Duel et Gears ajoutent du relief. Le dernier bloc, avec Murmaider, Thunderhorse et Go Into the Water, amène une libération attendue, faisant passer la salle d’une tension contenue à une réaction complète du public.

Aux côtés de Amon Amarth, le contraste demeure évident, tandis que Castle Rat donnait plus tôt une couleur théâtrale à la soirée.

Ce n’est plus seulement précis, c’est pleinement assumé.

Bloodtrocuted, Burn the Earth, and Bloodlines followed with surgical ex*****on, each moment landing clean and deliberate. The performance felt engineered rather than chaotic, driven by control over spontaneity.

As the set expanded, Birthday Dethday, Black Fire, and Dethsupport pushed the energy forward, while deeper cuts like The Duel and Gears added weight and variation. The closing stretch, featuring Murmaider, Thunderhorse, and Go Into the Water, delivered the expected release, shifting the room from restraint to full crowd response.

Sharing the stage with Amon Amarth, the contrast remained clear, while Castle Rat set an early theatrical tone.

It’s not just controlled, it’s fully realized.
