Milky Way arch over Creyke Point, East Sooke.
From March of 2024, when good friend and amazing photographer Neil Dickie and I made an early morning visit to this wonderful location. We started at the end of the trail on top of the point with views of the Olympic Mountains and Port Angeles.
The water was incredibly still, although a longer exposure helped smooth it out even more. We shot all our sky images from the top of point (I'll include an image from up there in comments) and then proceeded to this location about five minutes away. Although the camera was starting to pick up sunrise colours in the distance, most of the warm glow was from the lights of Seattle.
