This shoot was all about motion, mood, and experimentation, cross processed light, shutter drag, and portraits that feel like their sound: global rhythms, underground energy, late night electricity.

Also a real pleasure collaborating with Ruben, Grammy Award-winning cinematographer (Dune: Part Two), whose creative eye made this one especially fun to build together.

We’re avid travelers, constantly inspired by the places we go, the architecture, the colours, the textures, and the way light moves through different spaces.

Mexico has become a place we return to often, drawn back by its energy and endless visual inspiration. We make our way here at least once a year, and it’s opened up opportunities to create in spaces that feel entirely different from home.

It’s also a chance to create in environments that feel completely unique, so if you’ve been dreaming up something abroad, we’d love to bring it to life.

We first saw at , locked into a seamless mix of afro house and tech house that kept us moving for hours. A month later, we reconnected to shoot their first promo photos - and found out the night we caught them was the very first time they’d ever played together. 🙏🏼�

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves: we’re Dee & Kim, the creative duo behind Ethos Imagery.

Based on Vancouver Island, we specialize in unique commercial photography and creative portraits. We’re not here to play it safe.

We’re obsessed with using light and colour to craft imagery that tells a story and leaves a lasting impression.

Between the two of us, we bring a unique set of skills to the table:
✨ Dee is detail-obsessed, organized to the core, and has a sixth sense for making things beautiful in a way that’s anything but ordinary.
⚡️ Kim is all about flow, bringing high energy, intuitive composition, and always finding that unexpected angle that just works.

Together? We’re a little quirky, always vibing to good music, and never taking ourselves too seriously.
