Dance Temple Gathering is a beautiful place where hearts come together in healing, dance and reconciliation. It is a sober dance festival that brings together all the Dance temples of West Coast Canada. We all gather on a residential school lands to honour the past tragedies and their witness to the beauty of the local indigenous people and celebrate the best of humanityās intentions for honour.
Thank you to the Beautiful local indigenous people for this opportunity and offering to witness and be witnessed.
Thank you to the incredible organizers for putting together such a thoughtful and heartfelt festival that really does have so many layers of consideration. Having it be a family oriented event with the kids zone so that they can play and be inclusive to family members makes it a very wholesome event all around and really shows the next generation what living in integrity should be.
Thank you to the hard-working crews who bring all of this effort together, as well as the vendors, and of course, the absolutely incredible talent, talented musicians. This festival would not be possible without any of you.
This was my first time doing lead photography at a festival and the first time in a while that Iāve let myself fully be focussed on Photography for an entire weekend. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well. My heart was definitely very full as was my SD card. Again, thank you so much for trusting in me and having me be a part of this event.
Here is the first half of the Dance Temple Gathering photos, I will drop the other half within the next few days.
If you like my work, please comment or share and let me know. I love encouragement and to know that people enjoy what Iām doing.
Please tag anyone you know in this and help me share the album with those who went . I only have a small fraction of them online. Feel free to use these photos, but PLEASE remember to credit me and tag me wherever you use them. The best way to support an artist or photographer is to credit and tag them.
Big love xo Violet
