Ok and now a fun one:

Sometimes it’s really fun to take a shot and just do random things in Adobe Lightroom. Sometimes just playing around is the best thing you can do and maybe it’s an image that you don’t turn into the client, maybe it’s an image that won’t be in your portfolio, but it is incredibly fun to just do things because you can.

I like posting on my personal account chronically, but the way I will fully just neglect this account cracks me up.

Had a lovely amazing cool iconic client in today, shot some very fun photos but they remind me of a specific style of African American art and I can’t remember the name and it’s absolutely sending me off a cliff 😂I’ll remember eventually.

Shot at Moonwake Studio

I got to shoot in Moonwake Studio this weekend and it was so much fun!! Two clients and a lil shoot of my own with Kaitie Zeilstra.

I figured i should do another little intro/about me!

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m based out of Victoria BC, and this is a reel about me!

I love to travel, read, hang out with my cat, put on extra af outfits, hang out with my friends, and play around with my plants! I started as a client who turned into a model who turned into a photographer, and now my modelling is rare, but I still love to do it when my buddies ask!

I maybe will make more of these! They are kind of fun.

Now and then. My first Phillips vs my 4th.

It’s so interesting to look at the “then and now photos.” I know I have improved as an artist, but I have a preference for my tone and look of my 2023 photos. Not saying my 2026 ones are bad, I’m just saying that having it not be cloudy with really nice warm light was more of my prefer look.

2023 was an interesting year and either way I’m so blessed to have gotten to see Sudan Archives twice and this time get some of my favourite photos of her dancing with the crowd. It just shows that photography is not a linear journey, and sometimes you are gonna feel good about your work, and sometimes you are gonna feel like you did poorly and either way, that’s ok. It makes for interesting stories and posts to share as well as kind of fun looking back
