I’m still smiling thinking about this surprise proposal and how it all came together with these two wonderful humans (and the best supportive companion 🐾🥹)

If you’ve noticed things looking a little different around here — you’re not wrong.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing a BIG behind-the-scenes refresh:
• A small but meaningful name update (hello capalfreyphotography — yes, there’s now an extra “A” 😉)
• A brand new website + business email
• And most importantly… separate, specialized packages designed to better serve the families and couples I work with ❤️❤️❤️

Each session type now has its own space — newborn, maternity, milestones, families, couples, weddings — with clear info and experiences built intentionally for each stage.

This update has been a long time coming, and I’m so proud of how it all came together. If you’ve been curious about booking this year (or just want to take a peek), everything is finally in one place ✨

I’ve officially mapped out my mini session dates for 2026 to help with planning ahead. Sharing this early for anyone who likes to mark their calendar in advance

Scheduled Mini Sessions:

• Valentine Minis: January 31 & February 6
• Easter Minis: March 21 & 22
• Mother’s Day Minis: April 25 & May 3
• Father’s Day Minis: June 13
• Beach Minis: June 28
• Summer Minis: July 18 & August 8
• Fall Minis: October (TBD)
• Christmas Minis: November & December (TBD)

Mini sessions typically range from $75–$120, depending on the session type.
Regular anytime mini sessions: $110

That moment right before the cake is completely destroyed 🤍
I honestly love these simple, close-up cake smash details — messy fingers, tiny bites, curious expressions, and all the personality. There’s something so special about keeping it minimal and letting your little one be the focus.

I’d love to do more of these in-home cake smash sessions, where I bring the backdrop, professional lighting, and everything needed to keep it clean and easy in your own space.

I’ve finally made some much-needed updates to my website — something that’s been on my list for a long time.

One update I’m especially excited about is my newborn photography page, which now outlines two ways to document those first days:
• A calm, in-home newborn session
• Fresh 24–48 hour hospital sessions at VGH

Both are designed to be baby-led, relaxed, and completely stress-free — so you can stay present while I preserve this season for you.
