This was a much warmer day in Banff. I took the Gondola up 2,400 metres to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and spent a few hours exploring when I came upon this little guy. The pine marten is one of Canada’s most adorable predator. I have never seen one in the wild, only their tracks, and so I took the liberty of taking lots of photos of this playful guy. He let me,. ⁣

I got up at dawn to get this photo. I had never been so cold. It was -30 degrees Celsius. I had to hike a bit from the car with all my gear. ⁣
5 sec  f/14  ISO 50  50mm (24-70mm). I used a neutral density filter to slow down the shutter speed to soften the water and create reflections as well as to see how I could play with the ice fog rising from the open water. Can you see the ghost? ⁣
