A peek into the surrogate birth of baby Kate! Grown by and birthed into the world by the amazing Michelle Maclean of The Divine Child Doula Services and placed into the arms of her loving fathers. It's not every day that I get to witness this kind of selfless love and it was such an honour and privilege to be there. Kate is a very lucky and very loved little person. Oh, and darn adorable, too!

I'm a sucker for a pouty face! This beautiful doula-babe of mine is two years old now and I can hardly believe it. It's always such a special thing to see these little being grow and when I get to be a small part of it.

This big girl was hard on her Mama in birth but is oh so good to her earthside. I love her.

Mom and babe on their way to recovery together at BC Women's Hospital. We don't always get the birth that our heart desires, but nothing can change the amazing way it feels to hold your baby in your arms for the first time.
