Hi, my name is Hannah, let me introduce myself!
I am an editorial wedding & elopement photographer, based in wild, wild western Canada. 🤠
I moved to a VERY SMALL TOWN! Merritt BC.
You probably pass through it on your way to the renowed desert oasis, the Okanagan!
SWIPE LEFT and you can see my view of you passing by on the Coquihalla HWY! Hii!!
Merritt doesn’t have a movie theatre or a fancy restaurant. But sometimes people ride their horses through town ba****ck. 👏
Everyone waves to each other as you drive past.
You get into conversations with people at coffee shops & grocery stores all the time.
I was shocked by this at first.
How slow people drive through town and people knocking on your door… my ‘big city’ mentality was shook.
I found myself sitting around campfires with people reciting poems off by heart; about their times as young cowboys and cowgirls in the forest, under the stars.
I met people that were here when there was no sidewalks, just dirt paths.
The more I looked at Merritt, I saw businesses that have been around for 100+ years. Refining excellence in hat making, saddle making, art, sliver work etc.
I fell in love with slowing down. I fell in love with peoples stories. And fell more in love with my job and creating legacy.
I became passionate about documenting & collecting memories like treasures to hold at the end of life.
Because we WILL be trying to tell young kids what it is like… hopefully fireside.
I am passionate about making heirlooms of memory. Like gems in your timeline. It is precious.
Your life is worth capturing. Your moments are worth capturing. ✨
The photos above are from a trip me and my husband did right after we got married. We wanted to remember this time as being wild and filthy but our cup over flowing.
If you resonate with wanting parts of your story being captured, let’s connect!! DM MEEEE! 🥹🫶🏼✨
Also one of those legacy businesses is
🙌 My husband and I gifted each other custom made hats at our wedding.
