Up until recently, I had been shooting exclusively jpeg, but now I've switched over to raw. I put together this test so I could see exactly the difference. Shooting RAW+JPEG, I edited the jpeg(top) using the editing program I had previously used, and I edited the raw(bottom) using Adobe Camera Raw. I didn't expect quite how different they would be. In particular note the highlights at the top of the images, as that is the most notable and impressive difference.
