I can never decide between colour or black and white, I initially intended this to be black and white but after working on the colour image there are things I appreciate about both.

For those of you who know me - and for those who have no idea who I am - Hi! my name is Mark. I rarely show my face on this account but here we are… I’m usually the one behind the camera, occasionally I do step in front - Anyway, I thought I’d introduce myself here for a change.

A while back, I opened a studio in Vancouver focused on capturing portraits, product, and apparel photography for individuals and brands. It’s the kind of work I’ve always enjoyed, and I’m still just as passionate about it today. From studio portraits, clean ecomm, catalogue or commercial work to the creative and beyond.

3 of 3 - created in camera as part of a live lighting demonstration for students enrolled in my digital photography courses at BCIT. Created by using 2 v-flats, one black, one white and a cut up 12 ft wide white paper backdrop. Images were then processed and retouched live in front of students for full workflow. I always envisioned this being black and white in the final result but there is also something about the colour images.
