Wildflowers I didn’t plant, a lake I didn’t expect, and evenings that asked nothing of me.
I think I used to chase the big, postcard kind of adventure. Lately, the moments that stay with me are quieter than that, standing knee deep in a meadow, catching the light through the trees, letting the water be the only thing in a hurry.
