As Mariah Carey would say: “It’s TIIIIIME!” - but for her, it means she’s coming out of the woodworks for Christmas. For me, it means it really is time to slow down, prep for impending birth and get things set up so I can fully be in the moment and soak it all in.
I’ve been getting two questions a lot these last few months, so here are my answers:
1) When will you return to work/photographing/offering sessions?
- Short answer: No clue.
- Long answer: Returning full-time won’t probably happen until my youngest is 2-3years old, BUT offering limited availability and getting back into a creative flow is very important to my mental health so I could see offering special shoots later in the summer/fall 2026. I do need to figure out life with three kids first though 🫣😅
2) Who do YOU book for your family photos?
- Oh my goodness, there is SO much talent out there. Here’s a list of who I’ve been photographed by before and their vibe (see examples in the carousel above!):
- a beautiful woman that will make you laugh, feel beautiful, and just all around have a good time. She’s great with kids (and mine need a bit to warm up to people!) and her photos are warm, cozy and real life.
- a wonder woman who offers film only (colour and b&w) and who left me speechless when I saw my maternity photos. She’s so intentional in how she creates, and makes you feel so comfortable. The film gives it all a nostalgic yet artful vibe.
- my OG photographer who was there for our engagement, wedding, two maternity shoots and one newborn shoot. She does very cool, urban and unique photoshoots with super hip couples and I will forever look up to her 💛
k.photography - a huge presence, educator and inspiration in the photography world in the lower mainland. She followed our family around the house and created some of the most treasured cuddle photos of me and my kids!
- the queen of golden hour photos and warm tones. Me and my boys did a mini session recently, and they had so much fun!
