Friends, I don’t post much. It’s mostly because of the pure panic I often experience in the current cesspool of social media.
However, this platform is good for amplification, and I have some stuff that needs amplifying.
Despite the announcement of ICE drawdowns in Minneapolis, the situation on the ground remains dire. I have spoken directly with friends living there, and have asked what people can do to help who are not physically there - where to contribute funds or other help that would do the most good. The recommendation was to donate to some groups doing mutual aid work, primarily keeping roofs over people’s heads who can’t work out of fear of the federal government disappearing them off the street. These groups do exactly what they say they do, and do it reliably. Please consider a donation.
