I shared a little bit yesterday about who my “ideal client” is. And let’s address the idea of ideal clients real quick. To me, they aren’t a specific person who looks a certain way, comes from a certain place or acts a certain way. But as business owners, this idea that we need to niche down to a certain type of client is pushed on us but I truly believe that can be really restrictive. When I started this business, I knew I wanted to make an impact. I knew I wanted to touch as many lives in an intentional way as I could. I knew I wanted to meet people from all walks of life and make friends along the way. And so I opened my heart up to all types of people with different personalities and different stories. What happened was magical. I’m made up of tons of traits. And each trait found something to relate to in my clients. The nerds at heart, the fashion lovers, the dog parents, the foodies, the world travellers, the introverts. I found that I connected with them all. So why restrict myself? So I redefined the idea of an ideal client. They are simply people who want to work with me, appreciate my work, want their story narrated by me and my camera. They believe in collaboration when creating a beautiful experience. They love love and love life. They view me as not just a vendor but a fellow human and friend. And ever since implementing this approach it’s not only boosted my business but my heart and soul. If you’re a client of mine, know I love you and appreciate you just as you are 🤍
