Golden Eagles are not really common to see in the Vancouver region, but one made its way down here on this winter.
It was not in a very good spot to get good shots, I had to rely on the wind to shake the tree branches and reveal the eagle but It was really cool to see one for the first time!
Looking from a distance is very hard to differentiate from a juvenile Bald Eagle, but then zooming in the details you can see some features that are unique to them, like the golden brown feathers on the back of its neck.
