Cherry Blossom Engagement at Larry Berg Park

Caught the tail end of cherry blossom season at Larry Berg Park and it couldn’t have been a better setting for an engagement session. Soft light, calm water, and a quiet stretch of blooms made the perfect backdrop for something natural and understated.
We moved through the park chatting, shooting, and keeping things relaxed — just documenting the two of them as they are. No big poses, no over‑the‑top setups. Just real moments in a really beautiful spot.
Richmond shows up every spring, and this session was a good reminder of why I love working here.

Cherry Blossoms + Engagement Session = Controlled Chaos 🌸📸

Did an engagement session at Larry Berg Park, where the cherry blossoms were doing their “blink and you’ll miss it” routine. Between dodging joggers, drifting petals, and occasional wind gusts that tried to restyle everyone’s hair, we still managed to get a ridiculous number of great shots.
These two made it easy—lots of laughs, zero drama, and only one accidental “walk into the frame while looking for snacks” moment (not naming names).
Spring in Richmond: unpredictable, short‑lived, and honestly pretty great to shoot in.

Engagement Session at Larry Berg Park

Spent an afternoon at Larry Berg Park documenting these two as they walked, talked, and settled naturally into the space. The cherry blossoms were still holding on, giving us just enough colour without taking over the frame.
No big production—just focusing on connection, good light, and the small moments that show who they are together. The park has a way of feeling open but quiet at the same time, and it worked perfectly for this session.
Always a solid reminder that simple locations + relaxed people = strong images.
