This headshot was hard!!

Not because the lighting was challenging.

Not because the subject was demanding.

Not because my lens fell, there was a blackout at the studio or I had an ocular migraine obscuring my vision - although, ALL of these things have happened during my professional career. ( ☺️)

It was hard because this engineer has a busy life with young children and a VERY demanding weekend schedule. As a result, this last minute headshot was rescheduled three times within 24 hours. ⏰⏰⏰

Luckily, I’m not a “Type A” personality. I’m the last born of a big family and I know a thing or two about being accommodating and going with the flow. Aaaand from personal experience, I know that nothing can mess with your calendar like a 7 year olds dance class. 🧑🏻‍🩰

So we simply exhale, rebook et voilà.

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is meeting teams from all kinds of industries.

Recently (and by recently, I mean anytime in the last year ☺️), I photographed the Reddit sales team, and it was a great reminder that the best corporate portraits aren’t about forcing everyone into the same pose—they’re about capturing personality while keeping a cohesive look.

Organizing your teams headshots doesn’t have to be a logistical nightmare.

Recently, (and by that I mean anytime in the past two years ☺️) I made a trip to the First Canadian Place in Toronto to provide corporate headshots for the staff at Robertson - in their location.

With our mobile studio, we were able to travel to their office, set up, photograph 25 team members, tear down our set and be out of their hair with no issues - other than trying to remember where I parked. Seriously, that parkade could have hidden Bin Laden for years.

Each team member got a clean, professional headshot. And EVERY headshot was created with a consistent look that reflects the company’s brand. No travel, no staff downtime, no inconsistent results. Easy Peasy Summers Squeezy!
