OYV Sound Better than Christmas! Some new choice gear has arrived....

The Dave Hill Europa, an amazing new pre that lets you change the tone by adjusting slew rate and even/odd harmonics, and the Avantone Mixcubes, which allows us to check our mixes on car stereo size speakers during mixdown. Woohoo!

We're so pleased to announce Cole Leblanc as the winner of 20 hours of free studio time! He's a very talented young singer songwriter from Kingston. It was a very difficult choice but our panel looked at many factors in reaching this decision. Thanks so much to everyone who submitted. We can't wait to see what he puts together and we'll keep you all updated.

The entries have been coming in for our give-a-way of 20 hours of recording studio with OYV Sound engineer and techno whiz guy, Jody Tompkins. The actual deadline was over the weekend but we've decided to extend it an extra 24 hours in case anyone forgot. This is our idea of fun: trying out compressors!! All four of these units arrived on Thursday, thanks to our friends at Studio Economik. We'll soon be investing in one of them, but which one?!! (Sadly, it can only be just one) A very tough call.....
