In a single moment, a woman can feel everything. Fear and power. Pain and purpose. Breaking and becoming 💪🏽

Birth is the only place where agony and awe exist in the same breath.

Every time I witness this, I leave with something I didn’t come in with. A deeper respect, empowerment, strength, a reminder of how miraculous women truly are.

Because these bodies do not just create life. They endure & they transform.

And I am forever changed by the privilege of watching it unfold 🤍

This was the first time I met Chelsea & Morgan and their beautiful girls, it felt like stepping straight into the middle of a living, breathing love story💗

A week old newborn in their arms. A toddler with big feelings and bigger energy. Their eldest daughter learning how to be a big sister all over again. And this beautiful couple moving through it all with a quiet strength that can only come from deep, real connection.

There was a baby to feed, tiny fingers to hold, siblings to tame, tears, giggles, and those in-between moments that never make it into “perfect” photos, but mean everything.

And honestly they do it so effortlessly. I won’t lie I learned a thing or two about patience when moments weren’t “perfect”.

This is why I love to shoot this way. Not for the posed perfection. Not for the “everyone look here.” But for the way Morgan instinctively pulls the girls in closer. For the way Chelsea’s body already knows exactly how to soothe her newborn. For the way the girls lean in, curious and tender, learning their new role. For the way their love showed up in the chaos.

This is documentary storytelling. This is family as it actually is ❤️

Thank you, Chelsea & Morgan, for trusting me with your very first chapter as a family of five. Your love is powerful and it was an honour to witness it 🤍

Your kids won’t remember what the house looked like.
They’ll remember how it felt 🥹

Who held them, who played with them, who made them feel safe.

That’s the story I care about 🤍

“We’ll get the house ready.”
“We’ll make sure they’re behaved.”
“We’ll prep them.”
“We’ll clean.”
“We’ll try to have them in a good mood.”

No.
Stop.
Breathe.

This is documentary storytelling, not a performance.

Your child does not need to be calm. Your house does not need to be perfect. Your life does not need to be quiet.
You do not need to be “ready.” I want you to be prepared in being EXACTLY who you are and how your family is.

Because this is the story.

The chaos, the costumes, the mess, the tears, the laughter, the climbing, the collapsing, the real life! Your real life. Your kids EXACTLY as they are at this EXACT moment. The little things they do to convey happiness, the developmentally appropriate new skill they’ve learned, the sibling rivalry just to make up again 5 minutes later, the favourite stuffed animal, the nap time showdown. We want ALL OF IT!

These photos are not accidents. They are truth.

And if you’re worried about your child being “too much,” let me be very clear:

This is exactly enough.

I am not here to photograph a version of your family that doesn’t exist. I am here to preserve the one you are actually living.

Unscripted. Unpolished. Unapologetically real. I want you to look back at these pictures and remember the small things that you don’t even realize in 20 years you’ll appreciate having a memory of.

So no, you don’t need to prepare. Just live.

I’ll take care of the rest. 🤍🤞🏽

Birth photography is so misunderstood.

People assume it’s too much. Too intimate. Too raw. Too vulnerable.

But that’s actually the point. 🤍

Birth isn’t meant to be pretty or posed or performative.
It’s real. It’s messy. It’s powerful in a way that can’t be staged.

What most people don’t realize is that birth photography isn’t just about the moment a baby is born. It’s about everything surrounding it.

The way a mother turns inward. The way her body knows what to do before her mind does. The way a partner becomes an anchor without saying a word. The quiet hands. The deep breaths. The tears before the cry. 🤍

There’s no directing. No asking anyone to repeat a moment.

And that’s why it’s my favourite type of documentary work.

Because nothing is scripted. Nothing is recreated.
Every birth tells its own story and it only happens once.

These photos aren’t about perfection. They’re about the ver raw and natural process of bringing life into the world.

So many parents tell me afterward that birth became a blur. And then they saw their photos. Suddenly, the details came back. The strength, the support, the love that surrounded their baby before their first breath. That’s the power of these images. 🤍

This is birth photography. Incredibly raw, real and honest!
And it will always hold my heart. 🕊️

Some stories don’t begin the day you press the shutter.
They begin years before. In chapters you’re trusted to witness.

I’ve been part of Kaitlin & Greg’s story for a long time now.
I’ve watched their oldest two grow up. I stood with them on their wedding day. I’ve returned again and again to document the quiet evolutions of their family. The in-betweens, the becoming, the love that keeps unfolding.

So when they asked me to capture this newest chapter,
this season of waiting, connection, and anticipation,
I didn’t hesitate.

Because this isn’t just maternity. It’s history. It’s continuity.
It’s a family trusting me, once again to hold space for something sacred.

No stiff posing. No overly forcing moments. Just presence.
Hands resting where a life is growing. Shared glances. Coffee poured. Breaths slowed. Love felt in real time. Their chemistry is unmatched, I could feel their love the whole session.

This is what it means to document a family over years and to tell a story that doesn’t reset every session,
but deepens.

Thank you, Kaitlin & Greg, for letting me keep telling yours.
For letting me witness the way your love expands.

This chapter is beautiful & it’s been a pleasure watching your love and family bloom 💗
