Nuit Blanche 2026.

I wasn’t even going to make a Nuit Blanche post for this year, but if I don’t post something did I even go? In all seriousness I thought it was pretty underwhelming unfortunately. The main cluster around city hall and Trinity square was packed with people, but outside of that area there wasn’t much of an atmosphere at all. I don’t hate how many different areas have exhibits since it’s super easy to walk from city hall to the waterfront, but with almost nothing inbetween those small clusters to see, there wasn’t much incentive to walk around the whole city. And in my opinion was half the fun in the past. The scarcity of things to see between the main areas makes it feel way more spread out than it needs to be. Also the line to get into old city hall was absolutely ridiculous and I wasn’t willing to spend an hour on line. Disappointing given how many exhibits were inside. It seems like every year there is a little less to see, and more of what’s there is inside, forcing queues.

To be honest I still think it’s an awesome event and it’s a very cool thing that this city does, so I’m not going to stop going. But I do hope the organizers listen to the people and make some changes going forward. Ok byeee
