As a super shy introvert, never in a million years would I ever think I’d shoot weddings. My first lead with Amy and Raj had my nerves shooting down my pine, taking breaks, needing to regroup & repeat. I had teaching me the ways and I have learned a lot over the years. Took a break from our BrownRiceTO team for a few years. It’s always nerve-racking and a learning-curve at first. Truly thankful for the confidence and guidance having me on this brother ❤️📸

Busy in the 6ix

In light of the Gardiner East debate on the solution to the existing expressway :P The city council has voted for a hybrid plan which will leave most of the elevated Gardiner East in place instead of a full teardown and construct a boulevard in the Don Lands waterfront. The inner city wants the boulevard, the suburbs and commuters wanted the hybrid. It was a classic city vs the suburbs.

I framed this scene of Gardiner East as it was visually 'busy' here as well. The CN Tower is hardly visible. The Keaton Channel is cluttered with floating debris and garbage. There are some abandoned looking boats and ships. The skeleton of Gardiner East stands momentarily to the right (it had lost a few pounds due to the fall pieces of it over the years) :P

I had such a blast shooting Jasmin and Amit's engagement shoot for autumn. Working with my buddy Narbir Gosal in wedding photography is something we have wanted to collaborate for a long time and I am very excited moving forward. So far, we have came up with our name as Brown Rice Photography as we felt rice is a timeless symbol in weddings. We will have an individual shoot for each season of the calender year. We began with autumn and soon to come: winter. I always love the winter season despite the cold. Its aesthetic and visual beauty really captivates me so it will be a fun. Hope you guys enjoy them :)
