This is a sentimental post! I had just started shooting and organized my very first big studio shoot.
I remember that as soon as I lifted the camera and started seeing images on the screen this incredible passion ignited within me!!!
It helps that I was under the watchful eye of my mentor, inspiration, friend and a photographer I still continue to respect and learn from! Thank you for teaching me everything I know and to divine for trusting me so early on!

I find self identity a fascinating subject to think about and analyze! I remember when I stepped off stage how completely unmoored I felt… This was amplified by the fact that all the knowledge I had inside wasn’t needed by the people that could have used me as an artist to pass it on to a younger generation of dancers.

In my quest to find myself through photography and explorations of self I started shooting selfportraits which haven’t been shared or published before.

As a child visiting my grandparents in Krakow in Poland (one of the most cultured and beautiful cities in the world) I was often taken to see Poland’s national pride Leonardo’s “Lady With an Ermine” hanging in their museum which left a lasting imprint on me…
