I sold 2 of these paintings back in March at Artist Project to an amazing collector, Ashley, and she asked if I could paint two more to build her a set of 4 (why yes, of course!)

She liked the dragon fruit and martini paintings I’d done already (but they’d sold to other wonderful collectors already) and liked the idea of them as a set so we used new reference photos and built a set of 4 that colour coordinated and then swapped out the unstained ash frames for black ones. I think the outcome is pretty sharp! 💕💚

The past couple of months have felt like an eye blink. Thank you to everyone who supported my work through the Artist Project, and everyone who’s messaged since to set up commission work with me or purchase prints. I’m literally so stunned at the outpouring of appreciation my work has received, thank you thank you thank you!!!

I’m doing my best to work through the orders and messages as quick as I can 🩷

I do still intend to release a full collection of prints from my recent paintings, just have to find the time 😂😂 If you’re interested in prints, send me a message or sign up for my newsletter on my website! ✨

It’s my sweet baby girl Moxie’s 6th birthday today 🐕

And as an early birthday present to her this year, we decided to get her the ultimate chew toy: a baby brother 🐶

Moxie, bless her biased soul, is unreasonably obsessed with Golden Retrievers, so naturally we got her one of her own and named him Mongo 🦖

Always an independent little lady, Moxie used to spend her days contemplating the universe and daintily watching the birds fly over the backyard. While still a favourite pastime of hers, she mostly now spends her time corn-on-the-cobbing her little brother’s limbs and generally helping him get up to no good (digging holes in the backyard). Witching hour in our household is now dominated with “beat up the puppy” time, where the twilit backyard becomes the chaotic child of a mosh pit and agility course as Moxie sprints in circles around Mongo, both of them grinning like idiots, him “roo roo-ing” at her because he can’t keep up on his little 10-week-old legs.

Happy birthday my sweet sweet girl. Enjoy your athletic dominance over him while you can 😘🫡

Thank goodness for thoughtful friends! I wasn’t able to attend the opening night of as I was in Ottawa for my mum’s birthday. But! The ever-amazing sent me this photo of my painting Indulgence installed at the show incase I wasn’t able to make it 🥹❤️

ART Comp is Canada’s largest art competition and it’s still such a “pinch me” moment that I got in! Indulgence is one of 100 paintings selected for the 2026 juried show and is on display all summer at 100 Kellogg Lane in London, Ontario

There’s a people’s choice award and the public can vote online for their favourite paintings. I’d highly recommend checking out the exhibition in-person or online as it’s a diverse collection of amazing art (including a piece of Anna’s stunning collection)! Happy mum’s day to all the incredible women who are moms & fill the immense role in one way or another. And an extra special acknowledgment to mum, who’s attended many an art show, helped install hanging equipment last minute, drove from Ottawa and navigated Toronto traffic and parking with her giant truck because I needed something large enough to transport all my equipment, who signed me up for weekend art classes as a kid, and proudly hangs art from all stages of my career in her home like my own personal gallery. To be loved and supported to this extent is a gift I don’t know what I did to earn 🤎
