As a photographer, I’m always asking you to get in the picture. Now, when I look at my own pictures with Shehryaar, I understand just how much that matters.
Go and take those fall pictures. Make an afternoon of it. Laugh together, hold each other close, let the kids be silly. Don’t wait for the perfect outfit or a less busy week.
And please, don’t cheap out on making memories. Give them a little of your time and effort. If hiring a photographer isn’t possible, hand someone your phone,but be in the picture too.
AI can put you between beautiful fall leaves. It can fix the colours and make everything look lovely. But it cannot create your memories for you. It cannot give you an afternoon you spent together, a joke you shared, or laughter you can still hear years later.
I remember this moment with Shehryaar. I was telling him something funny, and there was that smile I loved. Such a small, ordinary moment… and now I would give anything to be standing beside him again.
He was so full of life. He taught me how to enjoy mine. I’ll cherish these pictures, and the moments behind them, forever.
