The Crescent Nebula 🌙🌟
-
The Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cygnus 🦢, near the iconic butterfly-like structure Cygnus Region. This image is a narrowband near-true-colour composite composed of Hα and OIII, with Hα being mapped to the Red channel, and OIII being mapped to Green and Blue (HOO). Although this is not 100% true to what the nebula would look like, it shows off the most vibrant colours in the nebula, and helps to cut through the thick light pollution of the Vancouver sky.

I’m on a bit of a hiatus from astrophotography, since I just moved across the country to attend , and now I’m temporarily without my AP rig. But I’ll definitely be continuing to work on my processing skills, and whenever I get the chance I’ll be sure to get back to shooting!
