Everyone it’s Noora’s birthday and I just have to write a few words.

There are some people Allah places in your life who make you genuinely grateful that your paths crossed, and you are so deeply one of those people for me.

I admire you more than I think you’ll ever fully understand. Your heart, your strength, your integrity, the way you show up for the people you love, our community, and the way you move through this world with so much intention, compassion, and care.

I feel incredibly blessed to know you, to learn from you, and to have you in my corner. You are someone I look up to in so many ways, and I hope you know how profoundly loved, valued, and appreciated you are.

May Allah fill this next chapter of your life with barakah, protect your beautiful heart, grant you ease in every hardship, and surround you with the same love and goodness you so generously pour into others. May you be blessed with more than you could imagine.

Alhamdullah for you, always

I love you 🤍

A small but important change moving forward. 🤍

One of my favourite things about photographing families is the joy that children bring into the frame. Their curiosity, their laughter, their uninhibited way of experiencing the world. There is something incredibly special about documenting those moments.

But as much as I love sharing my work, I’ve become increasingly uncomfortable with what it means to share identifiable images of children on the internet.

Between the rise of AI-generated imagery, deepfakes, and the ways innocent photographs can be manipulated and exploited, the internet has become a place where I no longer feel comfortable contributing to the public visibility of children’s faces.

And while parental consent is something I have always respected, I’ve come to realize that consent alone doesn’t necessarily protect a child from what can happen to their image once it’s online.

So, moving forward, I will no longer be sharing identifiable photographs of children on my public platforms, with or without parental permission.

This doesn’t mean I’ll stop photographing families, newborns, maternity sessions, or all the beautiful moments in between. It simply means that when I share those stories, I’ll do so differently.

A little hand holding another. The back of a head. A fleeting moment captured from an angle that preserves a child’s anonymity.

My clients will continue to receive the same beautiful, complete galleries they’ve always received. This decision is solely about what I choose to share publicly.

Children deserve to have their childhoods documented without having their identities made available to an internet they never chose to participate in.

As photographers, we have the privilege of documenting people’s lives, but I also believe that privilege comes with a responsibility to protect the people in front of our lenses.

Especially the littlest ones. 🤍

A little love story tucked into a family session 🤎

In between photographing generations together, I stole these two away for a few moments of their own.

Because sometimes the most beautiful photographs come from making a little space for just the two of you.

And the autumn light certainly understood the assignment. 🍂

What makes your way of seeing the world uniquely yours?

For Part Five, we’re turning inward a little; exploring the experiences, influences, instincts, and details that shape the way we create.

This will be another hands-on session, with space to experiment, get ideas out of your head and onto paper, and begin building a clearer sense of your own creative voice.

We’ll also be introducing our Creative Field Journals; a space to collect photographs, observations, ideas, textures, words, and all the little things that catch your attention as we continue through the series.

No photography experience required. No pressure to have your “style” figured out. Just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to make something.

We’re almost halfway through our 10-part series. Come find your perspective, and maybe a little more of your creative voice along the way.

A little more time with Dalia & Yousif. 🤍

There’s something so beautiful about getting to tell a love story beyond the wedding day itself.

Whether it’s an engagement session before the big day or a post-wedding portrait session after, having that extra time together allows us to slow down, explore, and create without the pressure of a wedding timeline.

For Dalia & Yousif, after a wedding day filled with rain, we found ourselves back together for one more evening of portraits. This time, with nowhere to rush, the most beautiful gardens, and a sky that seemed to have saved all its colour just for them.

From their wedding attire to the beautiful Palestinian embroidery of Dalia’s dress and Yousif’s keffiyeh, we had the space to celebrate not just their love, but their heritage, too. 🇵🇸

And this is exactly why I love offering couples the option of an engagement or post-wedding session as part of their wedding experience.

Because sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when there’s nowhere else you need to be. 🤍

Before the wedding day, there was this 🇱🇾

My first time experiencing traditional Libyan bridal attire up close, and I genuinely didn’t know where to point my camera first. The intricate goldwork, the layers of pearls, the embroidery, the headpiece, every time I looked, I noticed something new.

There was something so beautiful about watching all of these details come together, and even more so, watching the community of women that helped pull it all together.

One of my favourite things about photography is getting to experience different cultures and traditions through the people who invite me into their lives. This was another beautiful chapter in Reem and Mustafa’s story, and one I’m so grateful I got to document.

Reem & Mustafa 🤍

A beautiful, lively day at Barn Swallow Fields in Guelph, surrounded by so much family, laughter, love and the kind of energy that carries you through the whole day.

Getting to photograph these two over the last year has been such a special little journey; from their proposal, to their engagement celebration, to the henna, and finally their wedding day. There’s something really meaningful about watching a story unfold in chapters and getting to document each one along the way.

This one felt like the perfect ending to such a beautiful season… or maybe just the beginning of the next one. 🥹🤍

Yes, I absolutely waited too long to post this 😅 but The Art of Noticing is back this Sunday.

This time, we’re talking STORYTELLING: how to move beyond simply taking a beautiful photo and start making images that actually say something.

We’ll talk about intention, sequencing, visual language, noticing the moments between the obvious ones, and how to build photographs that feel like you.

A few familiar faces from past workshops are already coming back 🥹 and I’d love to have some new ones in the room too.
