Nearly two years ago, I was on standby waiting for this little dude to show up so I could take newborn photos of him… then lockdown happened. His parents and I hesitantly discussed options like photographing their first born through a window or me handing off my sanitized equipment and teaching them how to use the settings… but ultimately we decided just to wait… and now we have big brother and BABY BUMP #2!!! , congratulations on your house full of boys… I can’t wait to photograph your family again now that everybody is here! :) ♥️

More and more bodies of children are being located on former residential school properties across Canada, which is a major disgrace of our history. There is no room for celebration today. I stand in solidarity with the various Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. Though I will never know their pain, I seek to be part of the change.

COVID-19 Protocols:
Until Hamilton orders businesses like mine to shut, I will continue to offer photography to my clients in a safe manner.

How do I propose I keep you, my clients, safe to the best of my ability?

- We wear masks, all of us besides young children, until we are in place. Mine remains on always.
- We sanitize our hands at the beginning of our session.
- We remain 6 feet apart at all times.

This means that I will be unable to show you the back of the camera, however, I will have a computer on hand for my clients to go through their photos for selection purposes! I will have clients grab a coffee/bite to eat at a nearby shop, and upon return, their images will be ready for them to choose! They will be given control of the sanitized computer in order to make their selections.

Your family’s health and safety is my top priority. I allow 2 no-fee reschedules for health reasons for all families. Better safe than sorry.

There really is some magic in watching children explore their environments, isn’t there? During this morning session, this little one spent her time amassing a rather impressive collection of rocks, choosing to play rather than pose. I followed her around and played by her rules. Genuine smiles captured, and memories made!

Still have a couple of spots available for this Sunday’s minis event on Stoney Creek and for next Sunday (Oct 18) at Wheelbarrow Orchards in Milton!
