If you’re anything like Tina, you’ve got a full calendar and always have one more thing to get done for a client. So “book brand photos” gets pushed to after the busy season… except the busy season somehow never ends. 😂🫠

Tina killed me because even during her own shoot, all it took was me asking her to pretend she was working on her phone and she started ACTUALLY working. Her brain went straight back to her clients and I was like, “Nooooo Tina, put that phone down!!” 💀💀

But here’s what I meant to make time for her own business... When she was ready to launch Social 17, she already had photos for her website, her sales page and those first posts introducing her newly branded marketing business to the world.

This time, the business she was showing up for was her own. ✨

A couple of years ago, having something on the calendar six months ahead would have stressed me out. What if I wanted to burn my business down, run away and live on a boat by then? 😂 (jk, I think)

Okay soooo that side of me is still very much alive. But over the years, business coaches & other women running businesses have taught me that a little planning goes a looooong way.

Including setting aside time and money for marketing, instead of hoping I’ll magically have extra of both somewhere down the line. 🫠

And despite my reluctance, having a few things figured out ahead of time gives me MORE room to be spontaneous.

Less scrambling, fewer last-minute decisions, more “oh good, that’s already planned.”

So YESSSS, I’m already talking about 2027 brand shoots.

And somehow I’ve become the person encouraging you to get one in the calendar. 😜

Still open to the boat, though.

I spend a lot of time sharing my work on here, so I get why brand photography can seem like an Instagram thing 😂

But you don’t need to be creating content every week to have a use for brand photos. Philomena is such a good example of that. 🫶

I knowwww studios have aesthetic spaces and cute furniture, and I love shooting in them! But your own space has something a studio can’t offer: a chance to show clients exactly where they’ll be coming and what to expect.

That’s what we did for Sarah Vital Essence Colonics ✨
And if you’re also building a personal brand outside your practice or working with virtual clients, then we can absolutely plan a studio shoot or try another location on another shoot!
