It is so special to be part of people’s wedding days. Besides celebrating love and making it official (aka legal), it’s also so beautiful to see families come together, especially when they usually live so far apart. In this case, the couple’s parents live on opposite sides of the world, and their kids met in New Zealand and fell in love. Years later, getting married brought both families together in one place. My heart is full. It’s so cool to witness beautiful moments unfolding right in front of me. History in the making, and I get to be there to capture it. I am so lucky.

I met Doreen last year, while trying new things and meeting people at Westside Studio.

She’s a powerhouse. Business owner, photographer, mom of two. She leads with kindness and still goes after exactly what she wants.

I love showing the different sides of women, and with Doreen it was all there: kind, open, strong, unshakeable.

In this photo, she’s posing for me in the now, all of the above. And meanwhile, motherhood is right at her feet, her daughter holding onto her leg the whole time. Last photo is for her girl.

This is proof of all of it. And this is why I love creating with people I admire, telling their story as I see it.
