On 29:th of August, it is time for Special Olympics Truck Ride! It starts from Burford Fairgrounds to 403 to 401 with turnaround at Putnam Road. First transport will have a a sign stating "Lead Truck" signifying that the operator has raised the largest amount for Special Olympics. The operator who came second has the option of being #2, or the last truck. The last truck has a sign "you are following..." All truck will have 4-ways on and all the police cars, motorcycles, firetrucks etc will have their flashing lights on.

Law enforcement torch run, Association of Chiefs of Police and Truck drivers are some of the biggest and most important supporters of this amazing charity.

When you these vehicles on the road, don't be shy, roll your window down and give them a wave! You may also see me standing on one of the 401 overpasses camera in hand taking pictures of these amazing people. I promise, I will wave back!
