a love that has stood the test of time

I thought it was high time I posted this very special session I did with my grandparents in their backyard. I wanted to capture the rhythms of their life right now and the home that they have built together, and I'm so proud of how these photos turned out! I live a whole province over from "Far Away Grandpa and Grandma" but I have always loved visiting them every Christmas and summer. Their house feels like home to me, like stepping back into many of my happy childhood memories. Grandma always feeds us the best food, and Grandpa shows me old photos that he took when he was a young man, and we laugh about silly low-German sayings.

My grandparents have a unique love story because it grew out of the loss of my Grandpa's first wife (who was also my Grandma's sister). She became a mother to his four children and the second great love of his life - a love that has truly stood the test of time. As they've grown old together, I know that they have just grown closer and closer. It is so beautiful to see the grace with which my Grandpa has aged and the unconditional way that my Grandma loves and cares for him as this season of life brings new challenges all the time. I'm extremely thankful for the example that they have set for me in marriage and in faithfulness to God and to each other. ❤️

Miguel & Rebeccah // 6.6.26

And without further ado, Miguel and Rebeccah's stunning breathtaking wonderful wedding day! 🥰 A few highlights included all the many friends I got to catch up with, having my mom assist me again, the cutest little coffee break in the middle of the day (courtesy of Lalynn Cafe | Mobile Coffee & Catering Service), lots of tears & laughs, and Miguel and Rebeccah's sweet chemistry. 🤩 I loved every second of this perfect day, and I'm SO thankful I got to be a part of it!!

Mathew & Ashley // 5.30.26

Just a few of my favorite moments from Mathew and Ashley's beautiful wedding last weekend. 🥰 This truly felt like a family wedding because I grew up with half of the bridal party, and I've now done 6/10 of the bridal party's wedding photos, which is such a cool place to be at as a photographer! These two also just have a knack for making you feel like family immediately. They are so thoughtful and so laid back - this might have been the most relaxed and unrushed wedding day I've ever been a part of!
