Man, I haven't posted much about speedy goat events in a while, and I'm sorry for that, but everybody seems to do all the posting for me! Time Trials 1 was amazing as usual, I am definitely still heading fun playing with the long exposures, but trying to sprinkle in some of the regular, in-focus shots to keep things from getting too out of hand 😅 but anyway, new site to keep an eye out for more Speedy Goat events - Autocross or Time Trials, and come on out! Volunteer or drive!

Forgot to make a post, but I got my third and fourth film scans back last week- photos featured are from the Rev Up Men's Health Event with Speedy Goat and the BCDA, and SBRCC's April Rallycross weekend. Some shots on a roll of Kodak 200, gifted to me by a friend (Thank you, Ian!), and Fuji 400.

Experimenting with canon's built in digital double exposure feature- I think I've gotta okay with it more, but it'll give me the opportunity to change up my shots now and again, and hopefully help me keep things from the stagnant look and feeling I've been getting from my own shots lately.

My first ever film exploration! A Canon Elan 2, recently purchased from Andrew perfect for me, as it runs all my Canon EF lenses, though I have NO idea what I'm doing, so this is another fun adventure! In an attempt to shake things up, and try something out of my... Regular creative scope, I began shooting at much slower shutter speeds. The blurry photos I took ranged from 1/6th, to 6/10th shutter speeds- definitely an exercise in stabilizing, playing with light in motion, and patience. Some are ridiculous, some are cool, some are artsy. But I get it now, I think I've opened myself up to this a lot more than I would have ever imagined wanting to. Huge thank you to for always putting on a good event, and huge thank you to the drivers that make these photos what they are (are they even anything?)
